for the architects:

we are using ADS (adobe document services) for two purpase:

1)  using "normal" ADS-functions as PDF-generation from SAP-BW and SAP-ECC systems

     with RFC:  ADS

     see colour orange

2)  using ADS-service from NWBC-sessions and WebDynpro-ABAP ALV listings to generate PDF

     with RFC:  SALV_WD_EXPORT_PDF

     see colour red

because we expect much ADS and PDF-generation traffic, we try to realise this scenario with 2 (or more) ADS-server and loadbalancing (round-robin)

for the 1) kind of ADS-usage i will see no problem to realise,

we will use a virt.IP for hostalias ADSPRD pointing to the loadbalancer and the loadbalancer is doing round-robin to the first or to the second ADS-server.

but the 2) szenario with RFC:  SALV_WD_EXPORT_PDF and PGM-ID   how to realise for that szenario a loadbalancing ???

we configured both ADS-server JCo with identically PGM-ID,  both are connected to the ECC-sapgwnn, but with PGM-ID, the way from RFC-destin. SALV_WD_EXPORT_PDF with PGM-ID to the gateway will find allways the same ADS-server, there is no round-robin loadbalancing ?

?  is loadbalancing possible for the 2) szenario ?

Suddenly we are getting lots of two ABAP dump.

DBIF_REPO_SQL_ERROR

and

DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR.

which is affecting lots of programs and tables.

In dump DBIF_REPO_SQL_ERROR, the short text is like SQL error "-502" occurred when accessing program "CONTEXT_I_TR_SYS_PARAMS ". where the program name is different in different dumps.

How to resolve the issue. Please help me. If you need more information please tell me.

Hi,

When I start my NetWeaver server through command line, it fails with exit code 2.  The reason is because the jstart process stops and starts itself a few times.  I noticed this behaviour when kicking off the command and then "viewing" the start in sapmmc.

The arguments I am passing into the command line is:

-nr <instance number>

-prot PIPE

-function StartWait 300 0

What happens afterwards is as follows:

StartWait

process jstart J2EE Server not running

After I see "process jstart J2EE Server not running", I immediately view sapmmc and noticed jstart is stopped.  A few seconds afterwards, jstart starts and stops again and then starts up successfully.

As a result of this behaviour, starting my NetWeaver server via command line is always unsuccessful.  I have to resort to sapmmc.

Any idea on what the problem is?  I hope it's clear what I wrote.

as the title of this thread says, i am having a little trouble with the excecution of planned sql commands in the transaction DB13.

After restarting the system, everything works fine for a while, means logs and dumps are written to the share.

Max. 24 h later, DB13 runs with 2 hours difference to the actual time and all planned actions are not excecuted anymore.

I already checked the time of the server (application and database running on the same server) but that is correct. (Windows Server 2008)

System-> Status shows also the correct time, but in DB13 all commands run with a delay of 2 hours..

Any ideas why db13 does not run at the correct time?

Is it possible that sybase is updating the databasetime with a wrong timezone?

I'm a Fiori consultant trying to enable SNC on a Netweaver 7.40.

I've used this guide to set the parameters on RZ10.

Even though SAPCryptolib is installed on that path, i cannot find secude.dll on the \NTAMD64\ folder, and therefore I cannot re-start the instance.

I've tryed downloading SAPCryptolib and CommonCryptoLib from the marketplace, and also pointing snc/gssapi_lib to sapcrypto.dll without any success.

In our QAS system when I push the "Import history" button in STMS, it hangs forever. SM50 shows that SAPLSTFI report is updating TPALOG table with TMSADM users, but actually there is no change in the table.

I am running a Netweaver ABAP Trial 7.03 on my Laptop (Surface Pro). I'd like to apply a couple of Notes and their dependencies, because File Upload in WebDynPro isn't working and I need it for a term project at my university.

I got the Notes from the Marketplace and manually uploaded them in SNOTE. However, whenever I am trying to apply them, I get an TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED shortdump. Increasing abap/shared_objects_size_MB to 200 or even 500 didn't help.

I have 4 GB of RAM and Swap File is set to 20 GB.

We run MB52 in background with a variant then send the spool list to a distribution list of SAP users, so they can check the output in sapoffice.

The job run fine, but the users get only 16 pages out of 174 pages in the attachment in their inbox!

We tried to set the parameter SP01_TO to higher number for each the background job owner, and the receipient but it didn't work.

Through TC SP01 the admin can see the output request of the job with all pages.

So any advice to make the user receive the complete report in his/her sapoffice mailbox?

SAP NW Installation Error "MS SQL Server version 10 is not supported for the installation of this product. Solution: Use apporopriate MS SQL Server version" occurred with SWPM 1.0. I referred the SAP PAM and accordingly I downloaded the media files for installation.

More Details:

SAP NW 7.4 SR2 installation on Windows Server 2008 R2 with MS Server 2008 R2.

If the backup is of native Oracle backup taken using RMAN and TSM can we perform the System copy using backup/restore method.. Please clarify..

Also in Netweaver 7.4 with Oracle DB 11.2.0.4 SSFS is been implemented so what will be the post installation procedure to update/maintain the password of SAPSchema SAPSR3 user similar to updating OPS$<sidadm>, I am aware that SSFS the password of SAPUSER is stored in file system but how does the connection get established and what post installation step must be done after System copy on the target system.

I am dealing with this problem, and would like to hear your opinions.

Our PI landscape is NW 7.11 sp 6 ABAP and JAVA together. We would like to update the support pack from 06 to 13. So we started to update with MPD system which is our PI Development system.

OS: WIN 2008 R2

DB: MS SQL 2008

Kernel: 720_600

We successfully updated ABAP support packages, but problem is occured while updating Java with JSPM. Here is the steps I have been gone through 1 to 9:

1.  I downloaded all support packages from sap.service for NW 7.11 Support Package 13.

2. Opened JSPM and first updated JSPM

3. I chose Single Support Packages

4. It gave error for LM-TOOLS component which says ``REVISE - it does not pass validation check - Unresolved dependencies``

5. I deselect LM-TOOLS package and continued to deploy all other components, and left that component to import later.

6. It completed successfully to import all packages. Then I exited JSPM.

7. When I opened JSPM again, then it gave error that Java AS is not working.

8. When I check SAPMMC Java server is working and all system is green, but some AS Java components are not running like *nwa*.

9. Also it is not possible to reach on web. /nwa is not working it says ``503 service unavailable``

My opinion it seems like the missing item ibctstransportclient and deploying without LM-TOOLS component caused the error. How can I fix this? How can I find the item, and add it to where? and run JSPM while JAVA AS is not available?
