Hi All,

I tried to add the SAP PO system to NWDS using Preferences-SAP AS Java also from Management Console ,it asked me for OS logon SAP JEE Host.

Here I tried both Administrator as well as OS user id,but its not accepting.Before doing that I cleared all the passwords from Preferences-Security Storage.

I checked both Administrator as well as OS user ids are not changed.

Can you please guide me?

In our QAS system when I push the "Import history" button in STMS, it hangs forever. SM50 shows that SAPLSTFI report is updating TPALOG table with TMSADM users, but actually there is no change in the table.

Could you kindly guide me what logs should I analyse to get the issue resolved?

     java -jar {path-to-sapjco.jar}/sapjco.jar -stdout

but I cannot find "path-to-sapjco.jar".

Hi Experts,

I'm a Fiori consultant trying to enable SNC on a Netweaver 7.40.

I've used this guide to set the parameters on RZ10.

Even though SAPCryptolib is installed on that path, i cannot find secude.dll on the \NTAMD64\ folder, and therefore I cannot re-start the instance.

I've tryed downloading SAPCryptolib and CommonCryptoLib from the marketplace, and also pointing snc/gssapi_lib to sapcrypto.dll without any success.

I have an ERP 6 EHP6 (NW 7.31) system on Linux OS and need to configure SECUDIR environment variable for SNC.

On our installation we have multiple SAP instances on two hosts: host1 and host2. The SAP instances are placed as follows:

host1: DVEBMGS00, D01, D02

host2: D03, D04

To set the SECUDIR environment variable I've checked the SAP Note 1827566 - How to set environment variables for SAP system?and it says there are two ways of setting the environment variables.

1.- on operating system level

• Set environment variable on operating system level for the <sid>adm user

I configure the SECUDIR variable on the .sapenv.(c)sh or .profile of the <sid>adm but the problem is that configuring the SECUDIR variable on the profile file of the operating system user <sid>adm, I can only configure 1 directory for "sec" directory, and I have more than 1 instances per host.

On host1:

     SECUDIR=/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS00/sec

     SECUDIR=/usr/sap/<SID>/D01/sec

     SECUDIR=/usr/sap/<SID>/D02/sec

and on host2:

     SECUDIR=/usr/sap/<SID>/D03/sec

     SECUDIR=/usr/sap/<SID>/D04/sec

I cannot configure the variable for the directory of each of the SAP instances (DVEBMGS00, D01, D02 (host1) / D03, D04 (host2)) at the same time.

I start the sap services (sapstartsrv) and if y run sapcontrol:

sapcontrol -nr 00 -function GetEnvironment

I get the same value for SECUDIR for all the instances. The one configured on the .profile file:

SECUDIR=/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS00/sec

But each instance has it's own "sec" directory.

2.- The second way of configuring environment variables mentioned in SAP Note 1827566

• Set environment variable in startup profile

Add entries in start (up to 710) or instance profile (as of 710 no start profile exists)  in this form

SETENV_xx = SECUDIR=/usr/sap/BCS/D03/sec

After setting the variable in the START profile (I've also tried on instance profile) I stop the SAP services (sapstartsrv) processes and start them again, but the command sapontrol:

sapcontrol -nr 00 -function GetEnvironment

does not return the SECUDIR variable and thus the SAP Instances are not able to start as the SNC is configured and the system does not know where to find the .pse files.

I tried configuring the SECUDIR variable for a common "sec" directory of the <sid>adm user, ie. /home/<sid>adm/sec

and SECUDIR=/home/<sid>adm/sec but when I go to transaction STRUST the path of the .pse credentials are stored in /usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE>/sec and I've configured SECUDIR=/home/<sid>adm/sec.

In my opinion the best approach is setting environment variable in startup profile instead of the .profile or .sapenv_<hostname>.(c)sh of the <sid>adm user. But it doesn't seam to work.

Any idea on how to configure SECUDIR environment variable for multiple SAP instances on a host, and maintaining the "sec" directory of each instance?

Hello Friends . I am new to SAP Netweaver Gateway 2.0 . I started with the insatllation for the same. I took the help of guide where step by step discription is given on how to go about the configuration and installation.

Issue  : In the guide it is mentioned that we need to activate the ICF node "ODATA"  for gateway ODATA service .which is maintained in path SCIF --> default host -> SAP-> opu -> Odata.

But when i checked the above path i couldnt find ODATA , in my case only SDATA is present.

Can anyone of you please help me what could be the reason behind that. Am i missing any configuration thing??

We have our SAP installed on SuSe linux , i have a scenario where i have to  send and receive emails from SAP to outlook and vice versa.

These all days i used relay server (postfix)  installed on localhost  to send messages from SAP to other accounts, this was working fine with out any issues.

Now i  also need to  receive emails from outlook to my SAP inbox, my  mail id which we use is created by using google apps.

1. According to note 607108 i have  updated SMTP node in SCOT and defined all the connection.
2. I used TLS and defined my username/ password.
3. After these configuration i am also able to send emails from SAP inbox to other accounts
4. I have also enabled SAPconnect in SICF and assigned a valid user.
5. But Still I am unable to receive email to SAP inbox

Here my doubts are.

• Do i need an exchange server mandatory to receive emails to SAP inbox.
• Does SAP has its own server to SEND / RECEIVE emails.
• Do i need to do any setting in SCOT , because i am using smtp.gmail.com as my mail host.

Please advice me in moving forward

Hi,

I'm configuring Web Dispatcher for SSL. I want to Web dispatcher send the request to Portal using HTTPS. So, I set ms/server_port_1 = PROT=HTTPS,PORT=444$$,TIMEOUT=180 in Portal's message server profile and restart portal server. However, after the portal is running, I still could not telnet port 44402 ($$ = 02). BTW, I have also implemented HTTPS configuration for both Web Dispatcher and Portal.

FYI, I have also updated this parameter in Web AS ABAP. After restarting Web AS ABAP server, I can telnet to the updated port.

we configured SAP ADS and get an errormessage when we run the report FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE.

The Errormessage is:

SYSTEM ERROR: Error SOAP Framework: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport: HTTP Respons Body is empty (100.101).

If we run the Report FP_TEST_00 the generated Document is displayed correctly.

When we run the Report FP_PDF_TEST_00 the Versioninformation is displayed correctly as well.

Any ideas?

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to list all the undeployment options available to undeploy .SDA (Software deployment Archive) and similar files on SAP J2EE servers Netweaver release: 7.1/7.2/7.3 and the upcoming 7.4 version. For a similar knowledge base article for the deployment of these components, check SAP KBA document : http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1715441.

In earlier SAP releases (version 6.40 and 7.00) the Software Deployment manager (SDM) tool could have been easily used for this. However, it has depreciated in the latter releases.

NOTE: Undeployment as such is not supported and should be used only in cases where the SAP Basis admin is well versed with the system landscape and the repercussions of this activity very well. If unknowingly a component is deployed, the best option would be to restore the system to the previous state it was before the deployment was triggered. Hence, you should always take a full offline backup before commencing deployment.

Option 1

The best option to use is the J2EE TELNET "UNDEPLOY" command.

1) Open telnet connection and run the below commands:

> lsc (to list the available server nodes)

> jump <server node> (usually jump 0)

> add deploy

> undeploy -h (to get the command syntax and all the available options. For more information, check http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechTSG/(JSTSG)(Telnet)DeployController+Commands

For example: >undeploy name=com.sap.pct.mdm.tech.wizards vendor=sap.com name= on_undeploy_error=stop

If you wish to undeploy multiple SDAs , use the "list" option to supply an XML file as argument. Here is the syntax to run that command from telnet:

undeploy list=D:\usr\sap\UndeployItems.xml

on_undeploy_error=skip_depending on_prerequisite_error=skip_depending

NOTE: This will not calculate the dependencies though. If the operation fails, the logs will give you an idea on the dependency involved and then you can make a call on whether you wish to undeploy them in that order as well. Once all the SDAs related to the SCA are removed, then the "undeploy_empty_sca" command can be used to delete the empty SCA from the server.
This is extremely useful in cases where the SCA in question has many SDAs, like the GP-CORE SCA that has more than 102 deployed components and undeploying one by one can be a cumbersome affair.

Option 2

The Netweaver Developer Studio undeploy view can also be used to this purpose. Firstly navigate to NWDS -> window -> preferences and maintain the j2ee server details:

Now open the undeploy view by clicking on Window -> show view -> other

and select the undeploy view:

Once this is done, you can select the DC components that are part of the SCAs that need to be undeployed. It is also possible to select the whole SCA file using this technique:

The guiconsole.bat in the location /usr/sap/<SID>/J<nr>/j2ee/console is a script that will inturn open the telnet application and you can commence undeployment as mentioned in option 1.
