in this case, ERS must have a virtual IP address?
As I know ERS look ASCS and ERS doesn't need to have a virtual IP address. is it right? or ERS also have to have a virtual IP address?

I am trying to find a way to know if an rfc enabled function module is client dependent or not.
For example, the function module SUSR_LOGIN_CHECK_RFC is client dependent.
One way could be by checking the presence of MANDT field in the ABAP code (?), but its time consuming.
I used to code SE37 and SE80 to check for client dependency, but cant find a fixed field or indicator for it.
any compact or good way to know for sure?

I have problem with one user who use to many dialog processes at the same time. Sometimes these jobs use all dialog processes in the system and another users can not login to a the system.
Do have someone idea how can I limit user's dialog process number?

user is logged off from system, only one session can be seen in SM04.
It's a HTTPS Session, application info is:
R=7 P=/sap/bc/nwbc/nwbc_ext2int
User is logged off from system, no gui, no nwbc session is open.
If I try to log off user (via menu user - log off user - systemwide) session is still there.
If I try to get session information via doubleclick systems gives message "No sessions available; check if user is already logged off".
Sometimes I can see a process in SM50 with that user executing a program SAPMHTTP.
If I try to catch this program and stop it or kill the process, the same user with the same program returns after a few seconds.
Additionally user causes dumps in syslog every four seconds:
Signal 11 received by operating system
Stop Workp. 21, PID 6357138
Start Workp. 21, 58 times since system startup. PID 7 976492
PID is switching.
How can we stop this?

We have just migrated from R/3 4.5B to ECC 6.0. We used to have an ITS transaction call for TX VA01, where we passed several parameters and skipped the first screen. This looked something like this:

This not just filled the parameters in the first splash screen of the application, but also skipped the first screen and took the user directly into the TX VA01 where the value of the sold-to-party (KUAGV-KUNNR) was filled.
We now are trying to do just the same under ECC 6.0. with integrated ITS, but the passing of the value for the sold-to-party does not work. We can pass the values for the first screen and skip it, but sold-to-party is empty.
Any inputs is highly appreciated. Useful answers will be rewarded!

I want to allow the modification of transaction OB52 in a non-production client which is also non modifiable. I normally follow the steps of SAP Note
356483, however, when I'm trying to get the name of the View (customizing Object) in SPRO -> Edit -> Display IMG Activity -> 'Maint.objects' I get a "IMGDUMMY" value.
I believe that there has been some changes since the correction provided by SAP Note 1993365
Does anyone know how to proceed?

While Implementing SAP BASIS Patch(SAPKB73114) Patch, we are facing issue.
The sytem starts trowing abap dumps and only spam T.code is acccessible,
While checking logs in it says"Background job RDDIMPDP could not be started or terminated abnormally "
When we try to login into se38/sm37 to triggere the job it results in ABAP Dump.
Hence we have now performed system refresh from production server.
This issue arises only when we import sap basis patch.we were able to import sap HR patch successfully.

We take backup (dump database) regular basis.
Is there require backup for logs too.
I am very confused about log backup strategy. And when it should be truncated.

We are taking just prod database backup.Is any requirement for master database
or other system database backup.

I read the notes 1019327. I have created the below RFC connection and also tried to maintain the rfc in FINB_TR_DEST but still no luck.

When I execute the job in foreground it prompts me for an RFC "Derivation Strategy" and F4 help show SAP RFC, so when I chose SAP rfc, it runs in foreground fine. But in foreground it will take a while 24 hrs to complete.
I really wish this job to run in background and work.

We have requirement sending SMS from SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5.
I found so many posts and few SAP Notes on sms/pager configuration for ECC 6 with HTTP API/3rd party SMS gateway. Here we have to input URL of sms service provided into SAP SCOT setting. Which I can get it done until ERP6 EHP3 Release systems.
But from EHP5, SAP Scot config screens have been changed. I don't find option to insert service provider URL into "SCOT" SMS/HTTP node while creation in EHP5 and above. Please see the screen shot below as this option available in EHP3 and below releases.
Please provide me the steps on how to configure SMS setting in ERP6 EHP5 and above releases.
