HTTPS Session can not be terminated in SM04

$

Hello,

user is logged off from system, only one session can be seen in SM04.

It's a HTTPS Session, application info is:

R=7 P=/sap/bc/nwbc/nwbc_ext2int

User is logged off from system, no gui, no nwbc session is open.

If I try to log off user (via menu user - log off user - systemwide) session is still there.

If I try to get session information via doubleclick systems gives message "No sessions available; check if user is already logged off".

Sometimes I can see a process in SM50 with that user executing a program SAPMHTTP.

If I try to catch this program and stop it or kill the process, the same user with the same program returns after a few seconds.

Additionally user causes dumps in syslog every four seconds:

Signal 11 received by operating system

Stop Workp. 21, PID 6357138

Start Workp. 21, 58 times since system startup. PID 7 976492

PID is switching.

How can we stop this?

Regards,

Julia

Log on error: DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_REQUEST

Hello all,

After about 2 weeks of battling installations of both Fedora and SAP NetWeaver Testdrive I have now reached the point of where I can use the gui to go to SAP.

When I want to log in I get an immediate short dump saying: DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_REQUEST. Invalid call of database interface. In this thread: SAP NetWeaver 04 Testdrive SR1 with MaxDB they talk about the solution being in the hosts file. I have tried that but to no avail.

Here is what I have configured:

hostname = localhost.localdomain

string to connect = conn=/H/localhost/S/3200

my hosts file looks like:

127.0.0.1               localhost

10.0.0.14               localhost localdomain

195.155.155.1   nw4host

I have played around with the hostname by changing it to: localhost, NW4HOST and localhost.localdomain

Further I checked if everything is running, it is.

Anybody knows where I need to look?

SSL Configuration for SAP Content Server

Hi Experts,

Now , I'm going to SSL Settings between SAP Content Server and End-user-PC.

Of course, we will purchase CA.

But , we don't know how to configuration SSL Settings.

Please let me know the manual or procudure.

I thought that I have to set parameter via VA or Configtool,

but On Content Server go.bat or configtool doesn't exit.

Also I thought I have to execute TCD:STRUST on ECC,

but I think it is between ECC and Content Server.

Not between Content Server and End-User-PC.

How to check key phrase of the secure store

$

0

The correct key phrase of the secure store of the source system is used during the installation of the target system. Make sure that the global directory is available and up to date. The key phrase can be changed by selecting Tools -> Edit Secure Store -> Change Key Phrase in the GUI ConfigTool. It can be checked by invoking '<global directory>/sltools/checkKeyPhrase(.sh) -f <global directory>/security/data/SecStore.properties'.

Execute below command and provide the key phrase. It will check and tell you if it is correct or not.

<Drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\sltools\checkKeyPhrase.bat -f <Drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\security\data\SecStore.properties

In the SE09 transaction and in stms tail there are accumulated a lot of old orders.

Can somebody tell me how I can remove these old orders without destroying the system?

The system would need to continue working as until now but deleting these unnecessary orders.

Thanks in advance.

Pass Parameter KUAGV-KUNNR to VA01 in WebGUI

$

Dear all!

We have just migrated from R/3 4.5B to ECC 6.0. We used to have an ITS transaction call for TX VA01, where we passed several parameters and skipped the first screen. This looked something like this:

https://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/!?~language=DE&~login=<uname>&~client=<client>&~transaction=va01&VBAK-AUART=TA&VBAK-VKORG=9999&VBAK-SPART=01&~okcode=ENT2&KUAGV-KUNNR=<1234567890>&VBKD-BSARK=DT

This not just filled the parameters in the first splash screen of the application, but also skipped the first screen and took the user directly into the TX VA01 where the value of the sold-to-party (KUAGV-KUNNR) was filled.

We now are trying to do just the same under ECC 6.0. with integrated ITS, but the passing of the value for the sold-to-party does not work. We can pass the values for the first screen and skip it, but sold-to-party is empty.

Any inputs is highly appreciated. Useful answers will be rewarded!

Thank you & Kind regards

Christoph

Current Wiki, Note or Docu with MANDT in index

$

I have seen a few posts, dating back as far 2007 covering the topic Mandt in index.

There is even a monster note 825653, but is too concerned with the CBO on oracle.

This is not a DB specific question.  Im looking for the general,  approach to indexes.

I see strong evidence for including MANDT in indexes.  That also makes sense to me since it is included in the SQL each time.

What I havent found documented is why put MANDT as the first field in a  index and not as the last.

Especially when the index is for a specific field in the table. Ie only 2 fields in the index.

When there a several fields in an index and they may not always be present in SQL statement,

then puting the MANDT up front makes some sense.

But for Simple single Use field index

I would have defined the index as

1) FIELD_X

2) MANDT

for use with

select * from table_Y where field_x = 'SOME_VALUE'.

why create the index as follows ?

1) MANDT

2) FIELD_X

Forced deployment using Telnet in NW Java

Forced deployment using telnet is possible. This is possible with the telnet administrator. You can choose option

'version_rule=same_lower' which lets you deploy a version that has  already been deployed

If you want to re-deploy the same or lower version of an SCA using telnet, you can use the following steps

  1. Login to telnet using : telnet localhost 5<SystNumber>08
  2. Enter j2ee_admin user and password

telnet.jpg

3. Deploy /usr/sap/<SID>/<mysda>.sda version_rule=same_lower or

Deploy /usr/sap/<SID>/<mysda>.sda version_rule=all, to deploy

regardless of version.

Hi,

       we are running ECC6 (EHP7) ,DB-Sybase ASE15.7.

1:

We take backup (dump database) regular basis.

Is there require backup for logs too.

I am very confused about log backup strategy. And when it should be truncated.

2:

We are taking just prod database backup. Is any requirement for master database

     or other system database backup.

Please can any one share proper guideline regarding production backup strategy?

Enqueue Replication Server HA

Dear friends, we are planning an HA instalation, but we have a doubt about the Enqueue Replication Server. As per my understanding, we can install en enqueue replication server (ERS) in other host (B), but in case of fail over, the sap instance needs to be started in the same host of the ERS (B) to be able to access to the lock table of the ERS.

Do you know if posible to instal the ERS in other host, and the sap instance in another? The scenario looks like:

Before Fail Over:

Host A: ASCS + CI.

Host B: Stand by Server for the failover.

Host C: ERS.

After Fail over:

Host A: Stand by Server for the failover.

Host B: ASCS + CI.

Host C: ERS.

Will be possible for the host B read the replicated lock table in the host C after the fail over?

The documentation says that the replicated lock table is stored in a shared memory area, then, when the instance is started in the other host (failover) is cappable to read this information form the shared memory area. But what happens if the ERS is in a separated host?

Thanks and best regards.

Hi Experts

I´m in the process of a Database Refresh or Move with SWPM.  I´m on the last step Database refresh postload-activites.

This is my sandbox system Java instances of a Sap BW NetWeaver 7.3.

I´m going from sql server 2008 r2 to new sql server 2014, this a distributed system with one application server and one database server.

This is a split sap system, i´ve already moved the abab stack to the new server.

The server log of the swpm shows this error

com.sap.sdt.sapinst.rapi.connector.SAPinstConnector [Thread[SAPinstPipeHandlerCommLink,5,main]]: Received: 'null'

On the application server the Java instance is running but there are errors is the dev_server0 log.
