ms/server_port_1 = PROT=HTTPS,PORT=444$$ in Portal's message server profile

Hi,

 

I'm configuring Web Dispatcher for SSL. I want to Web dispatcher send the request to Portal using HTTPS. So, I set ms/server_port_1 = PROT=HTTPS,PORT=444$$,TIMEOUT=180 in Portal's message server profile and restart portal server. However, after the portal is running, I still could not telnet port 44402 ($$ = 02). BTW, I have also implemented HTTPS configuration for both Web Dispatcher and Portal.

 

FYI, I have also updated this parameter in Web AS ABAP. After restarting Web AS ABAP server, I can telnet to the updated port.

 

Pls help.

sm66 shows CL_SERVER_INFO================CP

Hi,

 

At Netweaver 7.40 SP 12, sm66 shows CL_SERVER_INFO================CP 11 times (because we have 11 application servers).  How can I make sm66 exclude CL_SERVER_INFO?

I did find t-code sm66_old which will show sm66 the old way, but surely SAP must have a way where sm66 can be used without showing my own processes for sm66.

Unable to detect an abap and/or AS Java instance in 7.4 Portal while using SUM tool

Hello Experts,

 

While running the sum tool for updating the patches I'm getting the error "Unable to detect an abap and/or AS Java instance of the SAP system EPP installed  on host vminpaeppci" and " Error during controller startup".

I have restarted the server also but unable to resolve the issue.

Please suggest any appropriate solution if any parameters settings to be done.

Which Package for Upgrade

Hi.

We want to upgrade one of our test server to NW 7.5 to test the new SAPUI 7.5 Libraries ans 1.32 Runtime.

For that the new SUM wants to have the DVD with the Label "NW750_MID" if someone knows where to find the media to download I would really appreciate it.

I already downloaded every single file in Netweaver 7.5 on SWDC.

Service cannot be reached

 

 

What has happened?

URL http://llneccdev:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/appl_soap_management call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.

 

   

Note

 

The termination occurred in system LLD with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.

The selected virtual host was 0 .

 

   

 

What can I do?

Please select a valid URL.

If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

SAP webdispatcher maintenance mode

Hi there,

 

We have setup a new webdispatcher which will redirect requests to our enterprise portal. The webdispatcher was built using sapinst and the profile is being maintained through the MMC not by the sapwebdisp.pfl file. The redirect seems to be working properly, but when we put the webdispatcher into maintenance mode the redirect still goes directly to the portal, and does not display the maintenance mode page. Would there be a specific parameter in the MMC that I have missed to configure? Anyone else have this issue??

 

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

System rename to fix JAVA

Hi,

 

WE have an issue on our sandbox systems. Our JAVA doesnt work on sandbox because we use TDMS copy to bring data from production. SAP suggested to use "system rename" procedure with SWPM to fix JAVA instance. after rename I see the instance properties sheet created in configtool but its empty. There are no dispatcher or server entries under it. Can someone suggest how can I proceed to fix java now? We need JAVA instance to be up and running in order to perform an upgrade from ECC6.0 to EHP6. We have dual stack.

 

I have attached a screenshot from configtool. The blank property sheet is the correct ID..the other two are prod entries. Visual admin cannot connect to port 8015.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

How to reset all services in SICF to default activation status?

Is it possible to reset the active status of all of the services in SICF to their default (i.e. fresh system install) status?

 

I am looking at an S/4 HANA system, in which client 000 (and all other clients) have had all of the services set to 'Active'. I haven't got access to another, similar system.

SAP BW 3.10 UPGRADE TO 7.0 Process

Hi

 

I am to upgrade SAP BW 3.10 to SAP Netweaver 7.4 and for that Middle upgrade is required. So have to start upgrade from 3.10 to 7.0 but while creating stack file from Solution manager 7.1 there is no calculation for this product.

I checked and found suggestion that have to perform Manual upgrade so can someone elaborate the manual upgrade process.

SAPMMC unable

Hi,

I have problems launching sap mmc.

when I try http: // <hostname>: 50013, it does not work (my NR is 00).

DB and SAP instances are started.

But when I do a "netstat | grep 50013" I have no result.

Any idea?

What is the purpose of the SCS' Message server in dual stack system?

Hello everyone,

 

If I am not wrong, in a dual stack system, the web dispatcher communicates with the ASCS' MS when there is a request from a user.

Therefore, I wonder, why there are 2 MS in dual stack system? does the ASCS' MS talk directly to the SCS' MS?

 

so, in conclusion:

1. why there are 2 MS in dual stack system?

2. what is the purpose of each MS?

3. how can the web dispatcher communicate only with the ASCS' MS? does ASCS' MS has information about the java instances as well as the ABAP ones?

SAPGENPSE Error - incomplete FCPath

I'm trying to install a Verisign Certificate for SAP Web Dispatcher using the command line tool SAPGENPSE.  This is what's happening:

 

C:\usr\sap\wd_EBP>sapgenpse import_own_cert -c etendering_cert.txt -p sapssls3.pse -x abcpin -r int_cert.cer

import_own_cert: Installation of certificate failed

ERROR in ssf_install_CA_response: (1280/0x0500) Incomplete FCPath, need certificate of CA : "OU=Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority, O="VeriSign, Inc

Does anyone know how to get round this problem?

What happened to the data if a workprocess restarted

Hi all experts,

 

I've a question about what's the effect of a "workprocess restarted".

 

Let's say I have a background job is running, then the dedicated workprocess running out of memory and switch into PRIV mode, then it restarted.

Unfortunately the background job is not finished yet, what happened to the data at database level? Is that they all rolled back or the part before workprocess restart were committed to the database? Or something else could happen?

OSS note cannot be applied because of SAP_APPL release

Hi gurus,

 

We are currently having problems with an SAP note. As per customer support, we cannot apply Note 830717 to system since note is used for SAP_APPL release 407 - 604 and client has release 617

 

Are there any updates or a version of the SAP note which can be applied to SAP release 617?

 

We feel that to solve the problem, we just really need this note. What can we do to get this note applied in the system?

How to configure SAP systems for incoming/outgoing emails for Google APPS

We want to configure SAP systems for inbound email configuration and we are using Google apps..Kindly  suggest

 

 

We tried using aspmx.l.google.com,but we are only able to send emails only to google domain (not to yahoo etc) amd  not receive mails when i checked using the Tcode SOIN

Dear all

i am installing SAP NW 7.31 as ABAP with following media

510443228 part1

510443228 part2

51041939_1 to 6

51044253_19 kernal  kernal is 7.31

51047747  ocl

swpm01 sp 07

 

it throughs error in create icmstore  i am on this error from 2 days


r3trans -d shows 0012 error username or password incorrect

saplikey    :   cannot connect to database

dev_saplikey : cannot connect to database username or password incorrect

 

correct me if am wrong and this is very urgent

now the latest is swpm01 sp09 it shows kernal 7.21ext to install how to install that

 

should i go with swpm01 sp09 and for that how to update that with kernal

 

kindly suggets

SAP Business Suit Sybase ASE 15.7 backup

Hi,

       we are running ECC6 (EHP7) ,DB-Sybase ASE15.7.

1:

     We take backup (dump database) regular basis.

     Is there require backup for logs too.

     I am very confused about log backup strategy. And when it should be truncated.

2:

     We are taking just prod database backup.Is any requirement for master database

     or other system database backup.

Please can any one share proper guideline regarding production backup strategy?

Hi Gurus,

 

we want to upgrade our 7.01 BW to 7.40 and get the following error with SUM in Phase ADDON_QCALC (log attached)

We load all INSAPBSFND packages we could found but the issue is still there.
