For the collections (FSCM) module, I am trying to synchronize customers to business partners in QXX so that we can create collections master data for these customers. Out of the 1.9 million customers, I was only able to synchronize about 120,000 records at which point, the system seems to be stuck and it’s not creating any job jogs for me to look at the errors.

My concern is that we are converting a very large number of customers and I want to make sure that the system can handle such a large volume and if it can’t, what would be the best way to segment the customers.

Further Details

Had chosen to split tables before copy and had also executed SMIGR_CREATE_DDL report prior to DB export with target - Oracle DB.

Copied the resultant .SQL files into Export_dump/ABAP/DB directory.

After getting the error, and reading the guides and the posts on SCN , I copied the .SQL files into ABAP/DB/ORA directory as well and then restarted the Import again for the failed packages, but the import fails again.

Any clues/ suggestions would really be helpful.

The purpose of this document is to list all the undeployment options available to undeploy .SDA (Software Deployment Archive), .SCA (Software Component Archive), .EAR (Enterprise Archive) or .WAR (Web Archive) files on SAP J2EE servers Netweaver release: 7.1/7.2/7.3, 7.4 and the upcoming 7.5 version. In earlier SAP releases (version 6.40 and 7.00) the Software Deployment manager (SDM) tool could have been easily used for this. However, it has depreciated in the latter releases. For more information, check: Undeploying Components - Using Java - SAP Library

NOTE: Undeployment as such is not supported and should be used only in cases where the SAP Basis admin is well versed with the system landscape and the repercussions of this activity very well. If unknowingly a component is deployed, the best option would be to restore the system to the previous state it was before the deployment was triggered. Hence, you should always take a full offline backup before commencing deployment.

Option 1

The best option to use is the J2EE TELNET "UNDEPLOY" command.

1) Open telnet connection and run the below commands:

> lsc (to list the available server nodes)

> jump <server node> (usually jump 0)

> add deploy

> undeploy -h (to get the command syntax and all the available options. For more information, check http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechTSG/(JSTSG)(Telnet)DeployController+Commands

For example: >undeploy name=com.sap.pct.mdm.tech.wizards vendor=sap.com name= on_undeploy_error=stop

If you wish to undeploy multiple SDAs , use the "list" option to supply an XML file as argument. Here is the syntax to run that command from telnet:

undeploy list=D:\usr\sap\UndeployItems.xml

on_undeploy_error=skip_depending on_prerequisite_error=skip_depending

NOTE: This will not calculate the dependencies though. If the operation fails, the logs will give you an idea on the dependency involved and then you can make a call on whether you wish to undeploy them in that order as well. Once all the SDAs related to the SCA are removed, then the "undeploy_empty_sca" command can be used to delete the empty SCA from the server.
This is extremely useful in cases where the SCA in question has many SDAs, like the GP-CORE SCA that has more than 102 deployed components and undeploying one by one can be a cumbersome affair.

Option 2

The Netweaver Developer Studio undeploy view can also be used to this purpose. Firstly navigate to NWDS -> window -> preferences and maintain the j2ee server details:

Now open the undeploy view by clicking on Window -> show view -> other

and select the undeploy view:

Once this is done, you can select the DC components that are part of the SCAs that need to be undeployed. It is also possible to select the whole SCA file using this technique:

The guiconsole.bat in the location /usr/sap/<SID>/J<nr>/j2ee/console is a script that will inturn open the telnet application and you can commence undeployment as mentioned in option 1.

After JVM upgrade from patch level 4.01.30 to 4.01.50, the jvm version is showing differently at different places for app server.

Java -version and java system info page is showing new one but the dev_server0 and instance.properties.vmprop are showing old one. (vmprop file is showing date earlier than jvm upgrade, even through system was restarted during jvm upgrade).

Please let me know where to check the correct jvm version.

The ABAP application server has been configured, and I think the config is OK, since in the log file I see:

What's wrong here? Do I have to execute the "setspn" command for each user? And how would this look like? On the command line, the output of "setspn -l myuser" is empty, "setspn -l myuser@INTRANET.UFZ.DE" results in an error.

The entry in the Network tab in the SAP GUI reads either "p/krb5:myuser@INTRANET.UFZ.DE" or "p:myuser@INTRANET.UFZ.DE" or simply "P:myuser", the error remains always the same.

I have created a custom login module by following the steps from the below link

After creating the custom login module, I have deployed that custom login module on SAP AS Java 7.4 via Deploy View from SAP NWDS.

I have got the status message stating that login module is deployed successfully.

Then I have opened my browser and entered the url of my SAP NWA http://<host name>:<50000>/nwa

After logging into SAP NWA portal I have opened the following Configuration-->Security-->Authentication and single sign-on--> components

Under the Authentication Stack I clicked on ADD and tried to add my custom login module.

But I couldn't find my custom login module over there.

I followed the steps from

I have restarted my SAP AS Java. Even after restarting my instance also I cannot find my custom login module in SAP NWA portal.

Anyone please help me to solve this problem.

I have an interesting situation that might work but at the moment doesn't...

The connection from the SAP-system to OSS is as follows:

1. SAPserver --> unencrypted to

2. Local SAProuter --> with password to

3. Remote SAProuter --> with SNC to

The link between 1. SAPserver and 2. Local SAProuter works.

The link between 2. Local SAProuter and 3. Remote SAProuter gives an error when testing the connection in SM59:

"timeout, return code -93", "timeout occured / LB: Unexpected error in LG layer".

The link between 3. Remote SAProuter and 4. SAProuter at SAP using SNC works (yes, it's been tested).

Our target is to increase Extended memory(em/global_area_MB) this is because we are going to extended the rdisp/plugin_auto_logout from 30 min to 60 min. Also we are going to increase the ICM TIMEOUT parameters from 900sec (15 min) to approx 1800 sec (30 min) so this may increase the concurrent users into the system.

Just to brief :

The current scenario for 650-700 concurrent users are logged in at a same time via Web platform with auto logout timer of 1,800 sec. = 30 min.

Regarding Memory Consumption, the ITS server memory is occupying  3GB of total 8GB.

The ITS uses memory of the extended global memory area (EG) which is configured to 8GB via the parameter em/global_area_MB.

Even to protect the WebAS from running out of memory there is a threshold set so  if the amount of memory used reaches watermark, further ITS sessions will be refused. The parameter itsp/max_eg_mem_percent (Set to 80%) determines this limit, default value 80. This means that no more ITS logons are possible as long as the amount of free memory is less than 20%.
We have checked the profile parameter icm/max_conn(Maximum number of open connections at one time) value is 1000. This means 1000 users can logged in at a same time.

We need to increase the system memory a little more to avoid any performance issues.

I am only able to access the system from my home network.  When I am outside of the network am not able to access it.  I think I have to configure some port forwarding stuff in my home wireless router.

In our SAP Gateway system, SAP transaction VSCANPROFILE, I can see that the parameter /SCET/DP_VS_ENABLED does not have any checkboxes checked.

Within the transaction VSCANPROFILE, I get the warning:

Our idea is to send an email to a manager, the email will have approve or rereject link. The manager will select the correct link and reply to the email. In our current practice Functional consultant is dealing with end user. He is taking requirement of new Report/Transaction access request & doing analysis. Then he is taking approval from BPO & based on BPO approval Functional consultant is providing training to end user. When end user is accepted requested report requirement in standard report or transaction data process then Functional consultant is sending request to Basis consultant along with authorization parameters like Role, Organization parameters, type of activity (create/change/display/delete) etc.

Our Basis consultant is not agreeing for this process & he want to directly deal with end user for all activities & he will take help of Functional consultant if required.

Sorry friends this is not technical discussion but it is create big dispute between our internal support team regarding who will be first point of contact for any authorization related issue?
