Hello Experts

We are doing SP upgrade on SRM 7.01 system.

Current is SRM 7.01 SP09 and basis release 7.02 SP SP12

After upgrade -SRM 7.01 SP12 and basis release 7.02 SP SP15

We need to know what bugs has been fixed in this new SP. I tried to see the document mentioned in note (1494683 - SAP SRM 7.0 Enh.Pk.1 SP Stacks - Release & Information Note) however the document covers only how we should do it. Can someone help me to find out SP upgrade impact analysis for my SP upgrade activity.  Attached are the snaps of pre & post upgrade component level -

11.03.2015: SP Stack Kernel 721 PL#402 Released

SP Stack kernel 721 PL #402 has been released and can be downloaded from SAP Support Portal. The issues from PL#400 (Note 2118382) and PL#401 (Note 2138260) are fixed.

Refer to Note 2138680 - SAP Support Package Stack Kernel 7.21 (EXT) Patch Level 402for overview of new features, enhancements and improvements added since PL#300. Known regressions are documented in Note 2138678.

09.03.2015: SP Stack Kernel 742 PL#100 Released

SP stack kernel 742 PL #100 is now available on SAP Support Portal. It contains various improvements and enhancements that are outlined in detail in Note 2136550.

Information on known issues in the stack kernel 742 PL #100 can be found in Note 2129327. This note will be updated on regular basis.

04.03.2015: SP Stack Kernel 721 PL#401 Revoked

SP Stack kernel 721 PL #401 has been revoked from SAP Support Portal for all platforms except for MS Windows because the kernel archives contained some files with wrong versions.

In most cases it is not necessary to replace the kernel in a system running with PL#401 because the issue has a limited impact and does not affect the kernel itself. Details are outlined in Note 2138260.

SP stack kernel PL#402 will be released as soon as possible; this document will be updated accordingly.

06.02.2015: SP Stack Kernel 741 PL#200 Released

A new SP stack kernel 741 PL #200 has been released today and can be downloaded from SAP Support Portal.

For a summary of enhancements and improvements included into this stack kernel, see SAP Note 2101802 - SAP Support Package Stack Kernel 7.41 Patch Level 200.

30.01.2015: SP Stack Kernel 721 PL#401 replaces PL#400

Current SP stack kernel 721 PL#400 has been replaced with PL#401, see Note 2121693 - SAP Support Package Stack Kernel 7.21 (EXT) Patch Level 401.

It fixes a file permission issue that has a very limited impact:

  • It occurs with 721_EXT kernel on Windows platforms only
  • It has no effect at runtime, only for future system maintenance
  • Workaround is easy

This means: even if above criteria apply, it is not always necessary to replace already installed 721 kernel PL#400. Refer to Note 2118382 for more information.

SAP Note 2084437 contains the list of known regressions in the stack kernel 721 PL #401. This note will be continuously updated.

Hello,

I had a problem with query execution in PRD Environment.

In DEV and QUA there is no problem with the query, has four different standard tables (MARD,MBEW,MARA e MAKT).

I have followed different procedures like the RSAR_RSISOSMAP_REPAIR tool and OSS Notes 966548 + 1080997.

Can you give me some lights?

Once again i say in DEV and QUA there's no problem.

I have urgency in this matter!

Thanks,

System info missing version and location

Hi

Some of the Custom Deployed components in the Portal, does not show version and location information. I checked the table BC_COMPVERSE and the table has all the information. So table is not synhronizing with the system info. We are at NW 740 SP5.

5.jpg

There is a way in older version for content of the BC_COMPVERS DB table which stores component version information to synchronised with that of the SDM repository. But newer versions of Netweaver does not have SDM, just JSPM.

Any ideas?

Increase Extended memory in SAP.

$
0
0

Hello Experts,

Our target is to increase Extended memory(em/global_area_MB) this is because we are going to extended the rdisp/plugin_auto_logout from 30 min to 60 min. Also we are going to increase the ICM TIMEOUT parameters from 900sec (15 min) to approx 1800 sec (30 min) so this may increase the concurrent users into the system.

Just to brief :

The current scenario for 650-700 concurrent users are logged in at a same time via Web platform with auto logout timer of 1,800 sec. = 30 min.

Regarding Memory Consumption, the ITS server memory is occupying  3GB of total 8GB.

The ITS uses memory of the extended global memory area (EG) which is configured to 8GB via the parameter em/global_area_MB.

Even to protect the WebAS from running out of memory there is a threshold set so  if the amount of memory used reaches watermark, further ITS sessions will be refused. The parameter itsp/max_eg_mem_percent (Set to 80%) determines this limit, default value 80. This means that no more ITS logons are possible as long as the amount of free memory is less than 20%.
We have checked the profile parameter icm/max_conn(Maximum number of open connections at one time) value is 1000. This means 1000 users can logged in at a same time.

We need to increase the system memory a little more to avoid any performance issues.

Kindly suggest.

Thanks.

Hi,

I have set up a Weblogic bridge between a Weblogic JMS queue and a SAP WAS queue. For some reason when weblogic

tries to push the message to the SAP WAS JMS queue I get the below error. I have written a client java app which pushes

Connect from Weblogic JMS queue to SAP WAS JMS queue

Hi,

I am trying to setup a WLS 8.1 messaging bridge between a weblogic JMS queue and a SAP WAS JMS queue. I have configured a queue on both Weblogic and SAP WAS and I have set up the messaging bridge and bridge destintations in weblogic. However when weblogic tries to get the SAP initial context factory it fails with the error below.

I have added the SAP Client jars to the weblogic system classpath, and in the weblogic startup script but it still fails. Has anyone connected from an external JMS queue to a SAP WAS JMS queue that could provide me with some guidence?

Hello Experts.

In our SAP ERP system the ASCS (ABAP Central Services:  Message & Enqueue Services)  is located at the Database Server .

We would like to move ASCS to a separate Host (different than PAS - PRIMARY APPLICATION SERVER-).   The destination hosts will be high available and will have high I/O performance.

Please advise if there is any documentation guide available for this purpose.

Thanks,

enserver.EXE stopped in the SAPMMC?

Hi,

We completed the installation of SAP SCM 7.0 ehp1 ides version. The system works fine from last couple of months but recent times probably from last week we are facing an issue like not able to connect the system and if it connects taking too much time to open the sap screen.

Even a simple transaction take a long time to respond, so then we goto mmc and try to check the wpses, in that instance 00 works fine but  in the instance 01-processlist-enserver.EXE was stopped.

We try to re-start the mmc and its re-started fine but the same thing happens enserver.EXE stopped but we can able to login the screen and each trxn works fine & fast. It would be only for 2-3 days after 3 days same thing that we are n't able to login and not able to execute txns.

Please anyone help me to fix this issue.

Web Dispatcher not preserving Hostname

$

Hello all,

I've currently configured a Web Dispatcher 7.40, following the "one web dispatcher, two systems" scenario.  The web dispatcher is connected to a SAP Gateway 7.40 (MS_FIORI) server, and a SAP BusinessObjects (SAP_BO) server as well.  This is my first attempt at it, so I kept my initial configuration as basic as possible.  Here's the web dispatcher configuration I'm using:

icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=8100,

wdisp/system_conflict_resolution = 1

wdisp/system_0 = SID=FIO, MSHOST=MS_FIORI, MSPORT=8101, SRCURL=/devcrm/

wdisp/system_1 = SID=EXT, EXTSRV=http://SAP_BO:80, SRCURL=/BOE/

To successfully access my MS_FIORI backend via the Web Dispatcher I use the following URL:  http://SAP_WEBDISP:8100/devcrm/

Recently we configured and activated a new HTTPS port on my MS_FIORI backend system.  Now when I connect via the same URL as before, the logon page of MS_FIORI redirects me to a new HTTPS URL, which might be a good thing, but that will not work for my purposes because it by passes the web dispatcher.  For example:

1. As before, I attempt to logon to MS_FIORI via:  http://SAP_WEBDISP:8100/devcrm/

2. And I get a response back is this:  https://MS_FIORI:8443/devcrm/

Notice that the hostname is no longer referencing the Web Dispatcher and now its routing to the HTTPS port.  As a test, I temporarily deactivated the HTTPS port on MS_FIORI via SMICM, and things went back to working as before.  I'd like to move towards HTTPS, but not before I understand what's happening here.  Any ideas?  How can I keep it from bypassing the Web Dispatcher?

Thanks,

Jose

Delete session after error 023 and WP has reached abap/heaplimit = 40000000

$

Hello,

I had upgraded my system's kernel to 7.21 401 last weekend and started getting below errors.

"Delete session after error 023" and "WP has reached abap/heaplimit = 40000000"

When I change the abap/heaplimit parameter to 6000000000 program runs without error.

This parameter value is out of max value of this parameter.

I donot want to give the parameter over max allowed value.

I also changed dbsl patch to 7.21 418 but no solution.

I searched through sap notes and scn but could not find an answer to my problem.

What could be the relation between kernel upgrade and this parameter?

Why the program was working with Kernel 7.21 316 and not working with 7.21 401?

I inserted SM21 and developer trace file below.

Can you help about the issue, please?

Thanks and Regards,

Yuksel AKCINAR

Timeout on remote connection

$

Hello to everybody,

I have a problem with what seems to be a timeout. I'm connecting to several R/3 systems which are in the same network, from outside that network with a VPN; the IP address of every application server in that network is NAT-ted to a local (virtual) address in my network. Every one of those R/3 keeps me logging me out after about 60 seconds inactivity, which happens very frequently, and I'm not the only one to experience this.

The problem is that since the timeout does NOT affect those logging from inside the target network, support says it's not a parameter set on SAP system, but a network problem: from my point of view, the TCP/IP connectivity seems to be fine with no packet loss. The reported error is:

Connection to 'localip:localport' broken

WSAECONNRESET: Connection reset by peer

I know nearly nothing of SAP AS Technology and Network Ops, so can someone tell me his opinion?

Thank you!

How to import *.pfx for 2 way SSL Web Service?

Hello,

We are trying to create web service consumer where 2 way SSL is needed.

We have exp_pfx_cert.pfx certificate. As far as we know there is need to convert it to PSE and then import in STRUST. Next steps like RFC, service consumer should be as usually.

PFX -> PSE

We tried to use sapgenpse but there was error like in attached image.

ROOT CA certificate is in another text file.

How to import this pfx + ROOT CA into SAP STRUST ?

SUBMOD_SWITCH_OLDREL/SETUPGPAR_UPG_DOWN RFC Logon Failure

Hello Friends,

I am performing a NW BI 7.0  ABAP [ Java stack is already split ] Upgrade to  NW 7.40 using the SUM Tool.

The Upgrade has crossed most of the major hurdles and is now in execution phase [downtime phase] and we are now facing the following error RFC_LOGON_FAILURE

System Details

OS : Windows 2008 R2 server

DB: Oracle 11.2.3

NW 7.0  >>  NW 7.4  Upgrade running   [ Source system BI 7.0 ABAP stack after Dual stack split ]

During the Execution phase, we are getting the RFC_LOGON_FAILURE  (error in license check)  error in the SUM Tool.

I also see that the SAP message_server process is stopped  and not starting up in MMC. The process of determining the correct license requires the SAP instance to obtain a hardware ID from the message server. The error message indicates that this could not be obtained  , this is confirmed in the system logs [SAP BASIS system : Msg Server hardware ID missing ( HWID_PENDING)  ] , due to which the SAP is giving License check errors.

I already checked via saplikey  we have the right license keys in place, to be sure I also deleted and reimported the permanent License keys again ,so its is definitely not related to  the license problem.

When I check the dev_disp logs, I can see the below errors

Could this be a compatibility issue of the old msg_server and the new 740 Kernel.

How do i get my message server & the SAP system fully up and running in order to be able to finish the Exchange process.

Any suggestions are welcome!!!

Thank you!

Prashant
