SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.03, Demo application deployment
Hello Friends,
I am trying to deploy Demo application from a book Design Patterns in object oriented ABAP. This demo applicatiion is actually compatible with compatible with SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.01. When I tried to my luck with newly installed SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.03. I got the following error . 1 of 1 requests do not match the component version of the target system. Is there anything I can do to run this application on SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.03.

sapevt - how to use internal port for message server?

I had the problem, that a transport did not stop importing as the event from sapevt did not raise. After having read several notes I realised that I used
/etc/services:
sapmsP01 3601/tcp #blabla ...
/profile/DEFAULT.PFL
rdisp/msserv = sapmsP01
rdisp/msserv_internal=3901
The note 821875 tells me, that an application server should login with internal port, but it does not use this internal port though I have set it:

I have new installed SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.03 trial. I wanted deploy Demo application from the book Design patterns in object oriented ABAP. Actually the demo application was tested on SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.01. When I tried my luck with SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.03. I got the error requests do not match the component version of the target system. Is there anything I could do to run the application on installed SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.03 trial?

Error during NW 7.3 Upgrade - The stack does not match the system.
Hi,
we are upgrading a BI System (dual stack) from 7.0 to 7.3 version.
In Configuration phase under Java Stack, we get the following error:
The stack does not match the system. Probably the system was changed
after the stack was generated. Synchronize the system with SAP Solution
Manager and then generate a new stack. Software component
sap.com/NWMDRIVERS is found on the system but not in the list of expected
system components in the stack.
We have previously undeployed MI (mobile infrastructure) from Java stack and also deleted the records at DB level in the following tables:
BC_SL_SWFEATURE (Note 1595918 says about this error).
BC_SL_COMPONENTS (there were 4 MI components in this table - NWMADMIN, NWMCLIENT, NWMDRIVERS, NWMWDLAP)
BC_SL_ACTIVE_PARTS (there was a record - MI)
After doing this, we started the Upgrade from scratch but no success. Please help.

Failing on Start Instance for SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SR1
Hi, I am trying to install SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SR1 on Windows server 2008 R1. My instance is failing to start. When I run r3trans -d then I get error that sapparam(1c) No Profile used. It says SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in Profle nor in Commandline. I did define user variable and system variable value of dbms type =mss for Administrator as I installed SolMan using Administrator users. Any troubleshooting step would be highly appreciated. Please note this is cenntral instance where everything is on same machine. I am using MSSQLServer 2008 R2 as DB

Unable to delete package because of object inside
Hello,
I have the following situation :
I want to delete a particular package ( package for ABAP objects , ex. programs )
SE80 etc.
- error message : the package still contains subobjects
- screen doesn´t show any program inside that package which I want to delete
Now I dig : " SE16n, view maintanance" tells me that there is really an object inside
, in my case its a program.
But now I try to delete that program mentioned via SE38
message : program xyz does not exist .
advice is appreciate.

unable to delete a package
Hello,
I have the following problem and error message :
- I cannot delete a package which was created by me
and also contained some ABAP programs developed by me.
- It´s known that if a package is not empty it#s not possible to
delete. The browser ( SE80 ) shows there are no programs inside
but gives me error message :
cannot delete package still contains subobjects
Trying SE21 , delete , results in same error
I also checked that object ( package ) is not locked.
Now I don´t know how to progress. I have seen this subject
is handled several times but it seems that deleting objects
is sometimes more complicate than to write a program.

Migration of Oracle DB to HANA

We have planned to migrate our ECC Development, Quality and production system from Oracle Database to SAP HANA database.
Since it is bit new topic for me on HANA.
Can anyone help me on how to perform this activity? If anyone can guide on system copy guide for HANA, that would be great.

CTS+ Problem creating Transports (User name to long)
Hi everyone,
i try to implement CTS+ in a Portal Environment with a Solution Manager System as the TMS.
I´ve configurated everything nessecary the different guides explained.
User Mapping between Portal and Solution Manager is also created successfull
(necessary because of different user id´s in portal and Solution Manager).
When i know try to create a transport via Portal: System Administration -> Transports etc. the transport is always created with my portal user as the tranport owner. My portal user is my user principal name (eike.hildebrandt(at)xxx.net) and so longer than 12 characters.
The transport owner then is cutted to "eike.hildebr" and no user mapping functionality is available.
When i try to find the transport after login on Transport Organizer Web UI out of my Solution Manager there is no chance to find the packages.
To change the owner of the package to a user exicting in the Solution Manager is also no solution because the transport then could not be imported in the QA System because of no existing user (remember only firstname.name(at)xxx.net is possible in portal because of LDAP)
Do you know any solutions for that problem? Might this be a bug or something like that?

Should I upgrade this add-on components at this stage

In Extraction phase of upgrade BI7.0 to 7.3 in SUM I got INFO:
INFO: The upgrade strategy for the addon BI_CONT is described in note 1000822.
INFO: The upgrade strategy for the addon PI_BASIS is described in note 555060.
INFO: The upgrade strategy for the addon SAP_BW is described in note 632429.
INFO: The upgrade strategy for the addon ST-A/PI is described in note 69455.
INFO: The upgrade strategy for the addon ST-PI is described in note 539977.
I do not understand point. Should I upgrade this add-on components at this stage

Error while setting up SSO using Windows Kerberos

I am trying to setup SSO using Windows Kerberos utility
Microsoft AD : windows 2008 R2
SAP : ECC 6.0 EHP 5
SAP GUI : 720
I am configuring it using the below link

SAP NetWeaver 7.3 installation on RHEL 6 - Sybase
Hi,
I am trying to install NW 7.3 on RHEL 6 - Sybase Platform.
I am unable to start SWPM from the command prompt.
I tried both SWPM10SP02_4 and SWPM10SP03_1
The error displayed is -bash: sapinst: command not found.
The linux version is Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.0 (Santiago)
Linux bwnwdvl 2.6.32-71.el6.i686 #1 SMP Wed Sep 1 01:26:34 EDT 2010 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
Any suggestion /help, please let me know.

Access 2 different SAP systems from SAP GUI
Hi,
I have a work computer using which I access various types of SAP systems (Dev, Test, Prod, CRM, BI, Solman etc.).
I have a need to access a 3rd party system (no relation to work) to learn something new.
When I try to map the 3rd party's server credentials (IP and Instance number) in the existing SAP GUI and access it, it does not work. It errors out claiming that the service is not recognized.
How do I go about accomplishing this if at all possible?
I am not a basis person and so not very familiar with various dll files that influence it.

Developing JSF-Application using LSF-Components

im trying to develop an JSF-Application with NWDS. I followed this tutorials http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-16271 and http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-16272
it works well, but if I try to use the LSF-Components it crashed. Im added

and now I get an Expection when starting the Application
Caused by: com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.jspparser_api.exception.JspParseException: Error in parsing the taglib tag in the JSP page. Cannot resolve URI: [http://java.sap.com/jsf/core]. Possible reason - validation failed. Check if your TLD is valid against its scheme.
Any Hints what I doing wrong und how to it working?

TRUST059 when importing certificate response
Hello,
I am working with NW73, and setting up HTTPS. Following the instructions here:

I have created a certificate signing request.
I have self-signed this certificate with a root CA that I have created for my company (this is deployed so as to not get cert warnings when using self-signed)
When I go to import the certificate response, I get an error: "
Issuer certificate missing in database: ..."
The message no is TRUST057.
I understand that it cannot find the CA.
I feel like maybe I have not added the root CA correctly, since it cannot be found.
This is the procedure:
Store the issuer certificate in the database (menu function Certificate -> Export -> Database) and make sure that the certificate is not marked as inactive (menu function Certificate -> Database).
I'm confused about why i would be "exporting" and not importing. Anyway, what is the procedure for "storing the issuer certificate in the database"?
I have tried simply importing the root CA and it shows up in the certificate list for the SSL PSE, but I'm not sure this is correct, because the issue persists.

WSATYPE_NOT_FOUND
I installed SAP Net Weaver 702e by following steps mentioned below:
> I installed VMware first
> Net Weaver on Windows 7 then
> Installed SAP GUI from extracted RAR (Latest Version)
I created connection as shown in screen cap.
Whenever I tried to logon using this connection I was getting error "wsatype_not_found" that somehow disappeared after adding it in windows default firewall. Now another error keeps appearing when I am trying to logon using above connection. Make sure I have everything perfect in "service file" that mentioned earlier as a solution in another posts.
Anyone knows solution?
