Hi,

I'm trying to install SAP Netweaver 7.4 with application server Java in Windows 7, and I received this message in the fase "Start Java Instance".

      An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.4 > SAP
      Sybase ASE > SAP Systems > Application Server Java > Standard System >
      Standard System( Last error reported by the step: Could not start
      instance service of instance DP1/J00.). You can now:

        Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
        Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
        Stop the option and continue with it later.

      Log files are written to 

     C:\ProgramFiles/sapinst_instdir/NW740/SYB/INSTALL/NW740/SYB/STD/

I'm stuck here.

I try to restart the application using the SAP Management Console but noting appear there.

I try to restart the instance in cmd sheel but I could not started.

this is the command that I used

c:\usr\sap\DP1\SCS01\exe\> startsap.exe name=SID nr=00 SAPDIAHOST=hostname

I am recently extended my existing table to have composite primary key. So i correspondingly generated the primarykey class and included in the Entity class with @Idclass() annotation. But now i am facing below exception when i try to call session bean which uses that Entity class. It seems like that is some problem with OR mapping but i am not able to find exactly in which table. It appears that each WAR is able to see the classpath of all the other WARs. Thus, when Spring initializes our ApplicationContextInitializer<AnnotationConfigWebApplicationContext> and subsequently does a scan for Spring annotations, each web.xml is creating beans that they should not be creating. How can I get NetWeaver to honor that the contents of a WAR are shielded from other WARs in an EAR?

I installed a SAP system in a HA environment consisting of 2 nodes cluster. After the installation, I discovered that all work processes are very busy and the developer trace files dev_w* is growing rapidly. The trace files contain many connection errors:

The error shows that the work processes is attempting to connect to the ASCS instance (172.25.100.183) using port 3210. The ASCS system number is 10. Since ASCS provide the message server service, shouldn't port 3610 be used instead? When I test with telnet to 172.25.100.183 via port 3210, I an unable to get a connection.

After the installation, I am unable to logon with sapgui because the work processes are so busy trying to connect to the message server until there is no available work processes to perform the initial compilation for logon.

Help needed. Thanks in advance.

After upgrade the Kernel from  720_EXT_REL   ----> to 7.40  , we have this issue.

SAP ist starting normal after the upgrade.In MMC all WP are online and waiting . But when i want to logon to the system, i get the following error

"Synatx error in program SAPMSSY30"

any idea?

I've updated the kernel on our DEV box from version 720 patch level 400 to patch level 500.

Our ABAP guys are asking for the Release Notes for this Kernel patch version.  I can find a list of SNOTES that are relevant to this latest upgrade but no document you might class as Release Notes.

I have tried in vain to find something.  I just wondered if anyone knew if such a document existed? And if so, where I might find it?  I maybe looking for something that doesn't exist!

We have issue with form 16 digital signature.

We have configured the digital signature in our ECC system and also done ADS configuration.

When we download the form 16 with digital signature into our hard disk and try to open the file, it says file is damaged and the size of file is 0 kb.

We are not able to understand why this happens and we did all the configuration fine.

Any thoughts regarding this are greatly appreciated.

I am trying to call function modules as Web services using the ABAP SOAP framework by using the ICF node /default_host/sap/bc/soap/rfc, but whenever I try to test this service in transaction SICF, I am sent to my browser to a page that simply shows ERROR.

The same happens to the node /default_host/sap/bc/echo. I am using SAP ECC 6.0.

Has anyone come across this error?

Dear Team,

Currently our central SLD is PI system and we have to to configure the SLD data supplier in the ECC system to send the data from ECC to PI.

Recently we have changed ECC system & PI system from http to https.

In ECC system in the Visual Admin , if i use the SLD data supplier parameters as http port (5XX00) I am successfull.

But , when i use https (5XX01) I am failing with the below error.

•           Failed to genrated and test CIMOMClient object
•           SLD_Collector_task in the status bar, when i select SLD data supplier

I could see the ECC system /SYS/global/sld/model/    cimsap.1_4_31 is the version which is displayed.

But in the PI system the CIM Model version is 1.6.21 (SAP_CR 7.5).

Can you please advise how this issue can be fixed.

Note: If we use http port SLD is working fine , but only the above issue we are facing when we configure the port of https.

while I was installing Netweaver 7.4 on WinServer08 R2 with MS-Sql it threw an error. It says something went wrong with starting java, I can not even find a more detailed error message.

Brief information about our QAS system:

- SAP: SAP ECC 6.0 EHP5.

- DB: MS SQL 2008 R2 (Ver 10.50).

- OS: Windows Server 2008 R2.Standard (64 bits).

- SAPGUI 7.20

I've recently updated our SAP logon image (right hand side image) with a customized GIF image. The process went smoothly with SMW0.

However, when I tried to logon to the QAS system on a newly configured PC with SAPGUI configured for the FIRST TIME, the GIF image does not immediately displayed on the screen. The right hand side image displayed blank, no GIF image. Some other users who logon to this SAP instance with a different PC (all new PCs) also encountered the same issue, no GIF image displayed.

The image only displays after I click on a button to create a new logon session. However, on a subsequent logon, the GIF image is able to be displayed with no problem. Weird, rigth? When I checked again, found the local cache is totally EMPTY on an intial logon attempt, subsequently, it's being filled up.

Has anybody encountered this issue before?

What could be the problem and how to fix it?

Would it be possible to create SAPGUI logon shortcut on windows desktop?

Assuming we've multiple logon entries on SAPGUI and we only want to create 1 shortcut for 1 of the entries.

The shortcut will allow user to enter user ID and password to logon to the system.

FYI. Most of our users are using Windows 7 platform, however, there are some on Windows XP and Windows 8.

Appreciate if you could help out.
