Is there any standard FM available to check whether the entered password is the same as Single sign on password?
Business needs to authenticate an approval process, like a digital sign, and the password they use will be the same as SSO password. I need to check the password before beginning the approval process.

Dear all,
i want to connect to a Web Application Server using the HTTP port, but it is not working.
HTTPS is working without any problems.
I started hte HTTPS site and checked the system information, please see attached jpg.
The system overview tells me, that HTTP Port is null.
But how can i change it?

this is my first time upgrading a Kernel.
We got NW 7.4 SPS 10 Java only on windows with a MSSQL DB.
I want to update the Kernel to 742.
I downloaded it from SAP Download Page and took SAPEXE.SAR and SAPEXEDB.SAR out of the Zip file and provided it to SUM be a Manually Prepared Download directory.
This works so far.
But in Step 5.3 Configuration it is telling me that I had to select some components:
I can't choose anything else than 'skip' but if i want to go on it is telling me I had to choose something.
Furthermore the TargetVersionReport is telling me:
So could you please tell me what I did wrong?

Hello everybody!
We're experiencing Performance Problems on our (test) AS Java (7.31). On our Servers, CPU load constantly exceeds 90% and memory usage is high. Looking into the OS, it's basically the Java processes only that are consuming CPU and memory , so we'd like to identify the threads eating CPU and Memory.
In NWDS' Management Console perspective, I see a Problem with so called "red threads". cam anyone Point me to a source of Information about These? I seem not to be able to find any information about these. Also, any help on how to see the current CPU and memory usage of threads inside a JVM would be very helpful.

I am having the following warning while running any process with BRtools (backup, check, stat update, etc)
BR1304W Checking SAP license failed at location BrLicCheck-109
BR0602W No valid SAP license found - please contact SAP
Note 912969:BR*Tools 7.00 fails due to license problems, explains that the error could be related to the SAPSYSTEMNAME variable.
This is what I am thinking.
My installation is distributed, on Oracle host, there is a standalone gateway with SID=GWD and our DB and SAP instance SID is DEV
Now when I run any process through DB13 on the app server. the process is started with user GWDadm who has in his env parameter SAPSYSTEMNAME=GWD.
I cant change his SAPSYSTEMNAME because then gateway instance won't start
Should I reinstall the Gateway server with SID DEV?

sql error 55555 when accessing the table HRPAD23. I shared the ST22 scren shots also too.

We're on Windows 2012 with SQL/HANA for our SAP systems.
We're running into a weird problem where sporadically the OS becomes
unresponsive.
As a result, SAP malfunctions/becomes unresponsive & we're not able to
RDP in to the server.
On hard rebooting, everything's Ok.
This is only happening to the SAP servers.
The non SAP servers in our landscape are Ok.
We're on Version 6.2 Build 9200.
When the OS freezes, SAP is still up most times...but things like
transports don't work (since OS files are inaccessible).
Also, SICK goes into the hourglass mode.
Event Viewer does not give any useful information.
Today we had an instance where our Production SCM system CI froze & we
had to reboot it.
Yesterday, it happened with our ECC Production Cluster server.
Since the sapmnt share was accessible (even though RDP was not), the
system did not go down...but in a few hours the server restarted itself
& failed over to Node 2.
We have a case open with Microsoft too...they've asked us to update the patches...but since the patches have to go in Dev-->QA & then Prod. this would take time.
We were wondering if maybe this is a known issue with a single bug fix that addresses it.
We also have Symantec installed on all these servers.
Please help advise...

I'm receiving an error when doing a system load when the install reaches the abap import phase:
I get this in the "R3load -testconnect" output.
bSl Trace: CONNECT failed with sql error '1017'
So I went and tried a "R3trans -d/x" and found the
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
When I do an "sqlplus /nolog" and try to do a "conn / as sysdba"
I still get the same
ERROR:
ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact
error.
When as <sidadm> I do a 'sqlplus / as sysdba'
I get the "ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact"
TNSPING works fine, the listener log shows connections as fine.
I just get the :
RA-12547: TNS:lost contact.
tnsping <SID> works fine.
I've recreated the "SAPUSER" table as in Note 400241 and used the default password of "sap" but I still get a password error on connection. I am using the default password of "sap" per the note so I don't know why it won't work.
This query works:
conn SAPSR3/sap@<SID>
So I know that I've met the condition in 400241?
It must be related to the "TNS lost contact" problem.
The weird thing is that it eventually locks the SAPSR3 user. What sense does that make?
Any help is appreciated.

I am facing an issue related to the job SAP_SLD_DATA_COLLECT. That job was cancelled and when I checked the job log, it didn’t show any information about any errors or any fail on its steps. On the other hand, there is a work process taking a lot of time (it’s a DIALOG WP running _SLD_ASSOC program), this work process began its long time running at the same time as the job was cancelled.
Do you have any tips or advice regarding this issue?

We have done a system copy of R3 from DAP to DAS and of BI from DBP to
DBS.
After this we are unable to load data from DAS to DBS.
Although , when we right click the source systems in RSA1 in BW, they are giving 'connection OK.
But when trying to load data from R3 to BW it is saying that "no active data source abc for source system XYZCLNT100, action terminated'.
Also, which manually activating the datasources also it is showing in the tab 'extraction', 'adapter' as 'Access to SAP data through service API' instead of R3 system.
Kindly advice.
We have run the BDLS for all the source systems in the BI system and 'restored' the source systems in RSA1.

I can´t configure stms in development system (domain transport) because when I try show me the follow ad: File /usr/sap/trans/bin/TPPARAM could not be opened for eading (No such file or directory)
I can create files in /tmp, I create file TPPARAM from copy the TP_DOMAIN_EED.PFL , but the error is the same.

I am trying to reverse proxy SAP 7.3 using Apache 2.0.6.4 as the webserver. It was working fine with SAP 7.01. But with 7.3, i am facing GUI problems, the URL says i have been logged in, but the GUI is not being displayed....
"The requested URL /com.sap.portal.pagebuilder/html/EmptyDocument.html was not found on this server."
^^ is the error message that i am getting.

Hi,
In SAP screen personas 3.0 you can easily make input fields read only but I can’t find a way to make table columns read only.
For example me52n I’ve got a request to allow one group of users the ability to edit some fields but not all fields. I can make everything in the red box “read only” but that does not help as they can still edit the information in the table above (blue box). I can “hide” the columns that they should not be able to edit but this is not an ideal solution as they still need to be able to view it.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

As posted in other threads i recently did a CU & UC from ECC 6.0 to 6.0 EHP7. Everything went smoothly but when users log into spanish a lot of texts are missing, for example: RFC descriptions text, matchcodes from SE38 and other transactions appear empty.
I did a language supplementation a few minutes ago and changed second language to english but nothing seems to work.
I just checked original system (the one i made the export to install the sandbox for the CU & UC) and it has the exact same behaviour.
Any tips or hints will be appreciated.
