Purpose

OB52 is a critical transaction which maintains posting periods that allow for posting of transactions.

Requirement

In a scenario where you have multiple companies in one Client and you have a requirement to restrict OB52 Company Code wise.
through standard controls/authorization object its not possible to achieve the objective.

Implementation

to restrict OB52 on company code level SAP offers Line level Authorization which can be implemented by applying below mentioned steps

1) Define Organization Criteria

SPRO--> Sap Netweaver --> Application Server --> System Administration --> Users & Authorizations --> Line-Oriented Authorizations --> Define Org Criteria

2) Click On New Entries and Enter criteria Name which should be in Customer Name space i.e. it should start with "Y" or "Z"

3) Select the Newly created Criteria and Double Click Attributes and maintain attributes as "ZBURKS" and Authorization field as 1st Org Criteria as in Figure below and Save the Entries

4) Now select the Org criteria and Double click Table Fields and maintain view/table as "T001B" and Field Name as "BUKRS"as in Figure below and Save the Entries

now Active the newly created Org Criteria by executing the following transaction

SPRO --> SAP Netweaver --> Application server --> System Administration --> Users & Authorizations --> Line Oriented Authorization --> Activate Authorization

At last add authorization Object S_TABU_LIN in Role which you have OB52
and maintain Activity and Attribute 1 which is your Company Code.

14.10.2014: SP Stack Kernel 741 PL#100 Released

With kernel 741 PL #100 a new SP stack kernel has been released for the 741 kernel version.

SAP Note 2077824 contains the list of enhancements and most important fixes included into this stack kernel.

14.10.2014: SP Stack Kernel 720 PL#700 Released

A new SP stack kernel 720 PL #700 is now available on SAP Service Marketplace. Refer to SAP Note 2077789 for more detail on corrections and improvements delivered with this patch.

Please note that the kernel 721 will replace the kernel 720 as standard kernel in Q1 2015 as stated in SAP note 1975687. There is only one more SP stack kernel 720 planned to be delivered before this milestone is reached.

I have an external mail server that requires authentication for sending mail, therefore we have configured the SMTP_AUTH with an email account, the problem is that we can only ship to users who have that email account, and that for any other mail account indicates that it can not authenticate against the mail server.

Does anyone know how I can do?

With this profile configuration we can access portal locally using the URL: http://WD_HOSTNAME:8185 but we can't access portal externally using the public IP address and 8185 port.

Through WD webadmin GUI the application server monitor shows the server OK

But through console with command sapwebdisp.exe pf="<location of profile file>" -checkconfig we get the error

Checking J2EE servers with URL "/index.html":

Checking J2EE server http://<PORTAL HOST>:50000...not active - IGNORED

We think the problem accessing from the outside is related with the error "IGNORED".

Can anybody helps us.

First of all the relevant details of the SAP system:

NW 731/ERP 60 with SPS 06 on Windows Server 2008 R2 and SQL 2008.

The SAP help are CHM files.

I have installed the help for NW 731 and ERP 60

One customer need the help in the SAP system. He wants to get directly help for a transaction (e.g. SM12).

There are three behaviours of the Application help I am not understanding.

1) If I want Application Help for SM12 it just opens the performance assistant, not the libary.

2) In transaction SM13 the libary is started, but not in the related document that the user wants to read, it is on the top level (SAP libary). On a SAP-System with NW 701 SPS 08 it works like it should.

3) Another strange behaviour is that there is no CHM file (00000630.chm) for SU01. It's missing completly. Really! I have searched the for it and It is not there. I downloaded the latest help for each release. (look here for the same problem: SAP htmlhelp file for ECC 6.0 EHP6 running on NW 731)

  During the installation SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.03 64-bit Trial in Phase 2 I get below error.

An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 3 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step: Error when sharing file system export (share) saploc : Incorrect function.). You can now:

• Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
• Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
• Stop the option and continue with it later.

Log files are written to C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/NW703/AS-ABAP/ADA/CENTRAL/.

We are implementing SAP GRC Access control 10,1 in our System.

System config is :

SAP ECC EHP7 with HANA Database.

while testing the grc service from sicf, i found that it is not working with error " default host can not be access"

going further my virtual host test is also failing with error "could not find host or port information"

I tried to restart the ICM service bt it did not help.

Any suggestion please.

Once again i am here ,i am facing the error with SAP GUI ,I have maintained the details Of Application Server and Instance ID correctly.And

it was not connecting ,I have checked the MMC thoroughly ,but after certain restart of the instances also it was not connected please help

I also attached the screenshots regarding the error

Please correct  me i f i have done anything wrong

We have configured High Availability of the LDAP Data Source for JAVA systems.They are working fine.We have followed below link to accomplish it.

But how can I achive the same thing for ABAP systems ? I want to configure the same for my CUA system.

We have implemented HTTPS and SSL using Geotrust certificates for our Portal Server.

We have a Webdisp with url https://abc.xyzglobal.com which will be redirecting to our portal server def.xyz.local, and we have backend system ECC and BI with ghi.xyz.local and jkl.xyz.local

Here xyz.local is our domain name.

We had purchased the SSL Certificates from GEOTrust (TrueBusinedID with 5SAN)

*Website URL to secure:   https://abc.xyzglobal.com/

Additional SAN are def.xyz.local ,ghi.xyz.local , jkl.xyz.local

Now my problem is I need to renew the cerificate as it is going to be expired

When i Try to renew the purchase of certificate i get a error sayin that

Due to new CA/Browser Forum changes, we no longer support internal server names or IP addresses for certificates that expire after November 1, 2015. Shorten your validity period or enter a fully qualified domain name to continue.

their customer support says they will not provide SSL Certifciates for .local domains as per the new policy.

So if i take the new certificate for th URL  https://abc.xyzglobal.com/  and renew the dispatcher certificate do i face any issue with other SSL Errors?

Iam in very confused state on how to proceed further, can any one guide me in resolving this issue.
