Document Viewer and XML Stylesheet

$

Hi,

We have an XML file (=invoice "image") attached to an invoice document in SAP. The attachment has been attached into a content repository (typical ArchiveLink scenario). The XML contains a link to a style sheet.

When we open the XML from our desktop computers, everything is working fine - the XML is displayed nicely in a browser - and with the style sheet. Anyhow, when we try to open the XML from SAP GUI (from the generic object services attachment list), the browser is started in Document Viewer (inside SAP GUI). Now the browser cannot access the style sheet, and we get the following error:

--

The XML page cannot be displayed

Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

Access is denied. Error processing resource

''https://<vendor_address.com/schemas/schema_name.xsl'.

--

How is this possible? Why doesn't the browser work  correctly from the Document Viewer? Is there something we can do? Any suggestions?

Karri

com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (106) JCO_ERROR_RESOURCE: Server VSPAGUE does not exist

Hi, I'm starting development with SAP JCo 3 and following the documentation and examples.

When I execute the line:

lo_server=JCoServerFactory.getServer(is_server_name);

I got the error:

com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (106) JCO_ERROR_RESOURCE: Server VSPAGUE does not exist

I'm generating the properties file (just for test purpose) like this:

lo_server_properties.setProperty(ServerDataProvider.JCO_GWHOST, "/H/155.56.49.28/H/cpe1601");

lo_server_properties.setProperty(ServerDataProvider.JCO_GWSERV, "sapgw00");

lo_server_properties.setProperty(ServerDataProvider.JCO_PROGID, "VSPAGUE");

I don't know too much about SAP, but I need to use JCo because of our internal structure.

I need some help to find out what's the problem here.

Swapping the role of systems

$

Dear experts,

I googled quickly, but didn't find anything on that topic, sooooo...

Due to several development projects, running in parallel, we will have several development and quality systems,

which will then deliver transports into a single production system.

Due to various organizational reasons, we determined that it will save us a lot of work, if we make a development

system out of one quality system and put another development system in the place of this quality system.

Can you please let me know, if this is generally possible, what risks does it bring and what to consider?

Of course we thought about stuff like adjusting the transport routes, changing the roles of the systems in LMDB

of the solution manager, restoring the version database to the quality system, but what else...? Could someone

make a detailed list and give some detailed advice please ?

Thank you so much in advance !!

Hi guys

I have test JavaEE application deployed in SAP NW AS JAVA 7.4 via telnet

I enable http failover on_request  in config tool (screen1)

In META-INF folder i put application-j2ee-engine.xml

<application-j2ee-engine xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="application-j2ee-engine.xsd"><fail-over-enable mode="on_request" delta="on" xsi:type="fail-over-enableType_enable"/></application-j2ee-engine>

And add parameter icm/HTTP/J2EE/force_server_switch = 1 in J00 and SCS profiles

After that i restart SAP NW instance

My JavaEE app shows me time when session is created.

How i testing session failover:

1. undeploy test JavaEE app

2. deploy test JavaEE app

Refresh browser but session created time is new.

This meansthat the oldsessionis not saved((

I try monitor  failover from SAP Managment Console in Sessions.

When undeploy session is gone . After that deploy, refresh browser and session is become .

Id Hash parameter the  same before undeploy and after deploy.

How understand my session failover is working ? Stored in file? Where this files is placed on filesystem?

Hi,

We are trying to rebuild index in ABAP application , and received errors with red traffic light in the u201CDiagnosisu201D screen of the KPRO -> TREX interface (transaction SKPR07)

I debugged this and the actual error message from TREX is STREX119 and we cannot find any additional information on this error message. (EN rcode 2007)

Can we try rebuilding the index from TREXADMIN?

Thanks & Regards

Help with Importing requests into IDES system

$

Hi experts,

I wonder if you can help me. I have imported transport requests ie the core and data files into IDES system and all is ok apart from the classification of the objects.

All programs, tables, structures and everything else have been classified as SAP hence I cannot edit them as the system is asking for a program key.

What should I do inorder to ensure my imported programs are not classified as owned by SAP. I can re-import and I have done so many times but every time they are marked as SAP standard.

I am doing this because I have programs that I am working on from home once they are done, I will take them back to work. I dont have remote access to work so the only way is to getr transport copies develop and once done take it back.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Installation of app server

$

Hi

We are migrating for Sun Solaris to Linux Red hat (OS migration). Our DB is currently running on Sun Solaris and will continue to be run on same platform.

CI installation is completed on Linux by one of my colleague and now i need to continue with installation of app server for that system.

They used tar untar method for migration of OS. I am aware of tar/untar only for full FS backup and can be used for platform dependent cases as most of executable on FS are dependent on operating system.

Can anyone of you help me to understand what all modification need to be made if i untar the Solaris executables and directory structure on Linux machine.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_NW70ehp2/helpdata/en/d3/c0da3ccbb04d35b186041ba6ac301f/content.htm?frameset=/en/48/bbe35dd880307ce10000000a42189b/frameset.htm&current_toc=/en/6a/44b2420e71c511e10000000a1550b0/plain.htm&node_id=704&show_children=false

This link mentions only to take FS backup and uncompress on same operating system. I am aware tar is best way to keep the permission and file structure intact.

Or can i get some supporting link for this methodology to perform the OS migration.

Thanks,

Surojit

Dear Experts,

we have installed Netweaver 7.4 for PI which was delivered with SPS05. we have updated Netweaver ABAP components into SP06 successfully. when we tried to apply the JAVA patches through JSPM, it shows no longer in maintenance, you have to use SUM tool. we have checked in the note 1589311 and it says JSPM is supported until Netweaver 7.4 SP03.

can you please let us know, is there any way to by-bass sum tool and apply the Java patches using JSPM (totally 76 components need to be updated).

Thanks in advance!

SAProuter ports

Hello everyone,

I need to establish RFCs connections between two sap systems (abap) in different networks so I'm planning to use their saprouters but I have some doubts about the ports and the saprouter string.

Let's use the following examples:

Network1:

SID1 = NW ABAP

SR1 = SAProuter

Network2:

SID2= NW ABAP

SR2= SAProuter

If I need to stablish the RFC from SID1 to SID2:

The path would be: SID1 -> SR1 - SR2 ->SID2

Please correct me If I am wrong:

  • between SID1 and SR1 the port in use is 3299?
  • between SR1 and SR2 the port in use is 3299?
  • Between SR2 and SID2 the port in use is <>? Here, Im not sure if the port in use 32xx, 33xx or still 3299

My saprouter string would be /H/<Private IP SR1>/S/3299/H/<Public IP SR2>/H/<Private IP SID2> ??

Change in hardware key on new installation with same SID

$

Dear Experts,

Background:

We installed SAP Netweaver 7.3 EHP1 on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and applied SAP License on it.

So there was a specific SID, Hardwarekey and InstallationNo to our installation.

After few months our Server machine got crashed and we formatted it.

Problem:

Now we want to install SAP Netweaver 7.3 EHP1 again on same Server machine.

Here question is:

1. Will the Hardware Key be same if I install SAP Netweaver 7.3 EHP1 with the same SID as it was before ?

Note: We want to apply the same license that was there before the crash. But we can apply same license if and only if after installing with same SID as before, system generates the same Hardware Key as before Crash !!

Other Information:

Information that we got from SAP Note (94998 - Requesting license keys and deleting systems) that :

"  For the following data changes, you require a new license key:

Customer hardware key - database - installation number - system ID.

"

Thanks in advance for your apt responses.

The currently executed application, or one of the components it depends on, has been compiled against class file versions that are different from the ones that are available at runtime.

If the exception message indicates, that the modified class is part of the Web Dynpro Runtime (package com.sap.tc.webdynpro.*) then the running Web Dynpro Runtime is of a version that is not compatible with the Web Dynpro Designtime (Developer Studio or Component Build Server) which has been used to build + compile the application.

Hi.

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

I want to create documentation related to our Netweaver Portals, but I want the documentation to be based on Industry Standards related to Netweaver Portals.

Information which I will include in this document, will include the following, but not limited to:

Naming Conventions

Folder Logic

Roles (How to create and use them)

Pages

Worksets

iViews

etc..

Does someone know of a template which I can use and alter to fit my requirements?

Hi Guru's,

In my landscape, we have DEV, QAS, PRD and recently we refreshed QAS with PRD copy. After the refresh, for WSDL configuration if we hit SOAMANAGER t-code, url pop-up was pointing for PRD instead of QAS.

Could anyone let us know what needs to done for this URL change.

Expecting your suggestion ASAP.

Thanks & Regards,

Guna

Migration of SAP Portal from AIX to Linux

Hi Experts,

We are migrtaing our Portal system which has got CI & DB running on One aix host & 4 application servers (diaglog instances) running on separate 4 hosts.

We are migrating CI & DB using SAPINST using load based migration.

After migration when we are starting the Config tools, the application server instances are still visible in config tool tree.

When we are installing the application servers on Linux hosts it is picking up the old instance ids & old configuration from AIX hosts.

We tried deleteing the old application servers from configuration editor of config tool under cluster data & then deleting property sheets of old Application servers & old dispatchers. But again when we install the application servers, it still picks up the same instance id numbers & old configuration of AIX hosts.

Can you please advise if there is any way of preventing the new application servers picking up the old configuration as uninstalling the application server before migration is not feasable for us.

Also if there is any harm in new instances picking up the old instance id numbers & old configuration.

Thanks in advance,

Warn Regards,

Ajay
