after upgrading j2ee of bw system, j2ee locks my account in abap

Dear all,


I upgraded a bw system from NW 7.01 to NW 7.3. I made:


1. dual stack split
2. upgrade ABAP stack
3. upgrade J2EE


After the upgrade of j2ee was finished my user is always locked. The j2ee tries every minute to logon to abap with my user. In file dev_jrfc.trc I see the message:


RfcGetException rc (7) message: name or password not correct (please repeat login) (I translated message because is in german)


There are no other log entries in any file under /usr/sap/<SID>/J<Nr>/j2ee/cluster/server0/log and I didn't change my password.

I checked the destinations under NWA->configuration->Infrastructure->Destinations

I checked JCO

 

My questions:

 

1. How can I do further analysis?
2. Where could my account be maintained in the j2ee?

NW 7.3 SPS10
ORACLE
HP-UX IA64

Filter in WE10

Hi all,

 

I am trying to use t-code WE10 to filter IDocs.

When i execute the t-code, the system doesn't seem to be filtering like i would like to.

 

Example 1)

In the "search criteria" fields, I inform:

Segment E1EDP01

Search in field MENEE, value KG

Search in field PMENE, value G.

 

System shows me it shows me IDocs which have MENEE=KG and PMENE=KG.

 

 

 

Example 2)

In the "search criteria" fields, I inform:

Segment E1EDP01, field MENGE, value 0.

 

System shows me it shows me IDocs which have MENGE=350.

 

System seems to be behaving like follows:

When searching in field PMENE, value G: when it finds an IDoc with PMENE=KG, it considers that "KG" includes "G", and since i am searching for G, it includes that IDoc in the result.

 

When searching in field MENGE, value 0: when it finds an IDoc with PMENE=350, it considers that "350" includes "0", and since i am searching for 0, it includes that IDoc in the result.

 

 

I would like to know how to filter in WE10 so that the outcome of the search is the previously explained.

4.5B Homogeneous Copy/Windows/Oracle Import Issue

Hi,

 

I am trying to do an export/import using R3Setup and i managed to take an export(windows/oracle 9.2). While trying to import, am stuck in phase R3USERENVIRONMENT_NT_IND ( Setting User Environment), my import is not started. R3setup is connect, i did the following

 

1)Made host file entry

2)Set env variable for oracle

3)Set env varaible for SAPDATA_HOME

4)Admin rights for SIDADM,SAPSERVICESID,

5)Registry permission of both the users

6)Modified CENTRDB.R3S file as per the guide ( export cd -> export dump)

 

Am not sure what am missing here, R3SETUP is waiting without updating anything , no error.

 

I guess its waiting for an input, i tried entering SID, SIDADM,Hostname, all possible inputs

Export REPOLOAD Error

Hi,
    We are in process of migration CRM server from HP UX to LINUX OS. I took largest 10 tables from DB02 and in that REPOLOAD was mentioned as one of the 10 biggest tables in the CRM System. I used the tablesplitting and migration monitor to export these tables and did a test export .

 

All the tables / packages are exported. However, REPOLOAD is failing with the below error message.

Few days back , we exported the same CRM System with normal sapinst procedure without table splitting. When I see the Data folder, I am not able to find the table REPOLOAD or export of REPOLOAD  inside DATA directory.

Kindly let us know how to fix this issue.

DB User Password Change BRconnect

Hi Gurus,

 

I need to reset the password of DBuser (SAPSR3) using brtools.

The below commands at os level in ora<sid> can be used-->

brconnect -u system/<syst_pwd> -f chpass -o SAPR3 -p <new_sap_pwd>

brconnect -u system/<syst_pwd> -f chpass -o sap< sid> -p <new_sap_pwd>

 

 

My question:

Is there any follow up tasks to be completed after executing the above commands(like testing r3trans etc)?

What can be the impacts or changes dur to this password reset of this at application/db level?

 

Please give me your suggestions.

Autostart in Java Netweaver 7.31

Hi,

 

on our Netweaver 7.0x systems we where able to configure an automatic start of the instance afer server reboot.

Therefore it was necessary to set the parameter Autostart = 1 within in the Start profile.

 

After upgrading the system to 7.31 this not working anymore.

 

Any ideas?

 

The system is running on Windows 2008 R2

We want to perform Table reorg in our R/3 system 4.7 EXT2. We have taken out top 10 tables which are candidates for table reorg based on Size, could you please let me know the below :

 

How i can check that each table is eligible for table reorg or not?

Which are the tables that can be excluded from table reorg ?.

 

Please let me know is therte any procedure for the same.

Hello,

 

I have users dissatisfied with a SAP System (ERP 6.0 EHP4 / NW 7.01) so I'm being asked to check it. I know that there's many transactions to check like ST03N, ST06N, ST02, etc but I'd like to know which should be the best approach, I mean what should i look first? I hope you can share your experience.

F4 Search option not available through webgui / Tr. iView

We have NW Portal 7.31 and ECC 6 ehp 6 in our Landscape. We have created a transaction iview so that some portal users can create sales order (VA01) using Portal.


This tr. iview uses webgui in the backend.

 

But pressing F4 to choose values in various fields is not working. We cannot choose any option.

Error reading job logs of Apps server from Central Instance

Dear Gurus,

 

We have newly installed system with one CI ( cluster environment) and 2 application Instances.

Systems are recently installed by other team. I am looking into support part after handover.

 

We have noticed below error while reading failed background job logs from our CI. If suppose any job is failing, we can read respective job log from that application instance but it throws error while reading job log from CI to either of application instance.

I checked /sapmnt/SID/global is shared among all 3 servers and i am successfully able to "Touch a" from applications instances.

Even though i have given "777" permissions to all folders like  /sapmnt/SID , /sapmnt/SID/global , /sapmnt/SID/global/400JOB*

I am not able to read job log from CI , for same failed job I can read job log from respective application instance.

 

Error log :

 

Error reading job log JOBLGX00080700X39290

Message no. BT167

Diagnosis

The background processing system was unable to read the job log named in the message.

This message suggests that there is a problem with the TEMSE storage system of the SAP system.  The TEMSE storage system is a repository for temporary objects, such as job logs and spool requests. Job logs are always stored in the TEMSE as operating system files.

This error occurs if the TEMSE system is not able to find or access the file that contains the text of the job log that you requested. Possible causes for the loss or unavailability of the job log include the following:

  • Someone deleted the required TEMSE file (from the operating system, not from within the SAP system).
  • A CRON (or equivalent scheduler) job has deleted the TEMSE file.
  • The file system in which the TEMSE stores its files is not mounted or is not accessible (NFS problem, disk failure, or similar problem).
  • The TEMSE reorganize or consistency check functions were used within the SAP system and deleted the job log.

 

 

SM21 logs :

Error 2 for write/read access to a file. File = /usr/sap/SID/SYS/global

BP_JOBLOG_SHOW: Failed to display jobs. Reason:

> Error reading job log JOBLGX00080700X39290

 

Strange this is I can check failed job log on one application instance frfom other application instance but not from CI.

 

Kindly throw some lights where to check.

Abap editor crashes in SAP GUI

when the settings are set to enable the new abap editor se38 all the SAP GUI sesssions are terminated.

Se when I go to tcode SE80 and the settings are set to the new abap edior, all the SAP sessions are terminated.

 

Please help me on this.

SAP Side Effects Analysis

Hi All

 

We have a patch upgrade coming up in the next months or so and we have been sent the SAP Side Effects Reports(Impact Analysis) by the SAP Basis Team.

 

My question is: How do I go about understanding the SAP Side Effect List or Report? What to look for?  What key points should I consider?

 

Take note that this is not the first patch upgrade project I was ever involved with and it always baffles me in terms of how do we take the report and apply that to our own environment. This however seems to have gone very well in the past with regards to the patch upgrade projects that I was involved in and I am asking this question so that I better understand and guide our clients appropriately.

 

Facts:

The patch upgrade project is planned on the following system: ECC(SAP ECC 6.0), BW(SAP_BW 730 0008)  and BO.

 

Kindly provide guidelines, How To's, Best practice,Pro-active maintenance and all other information that might useful in this regard.

 

NB:I have searched SCN and other sites relating to this and unfortunately I did not find full useful information or anything close for that matter.

Webservice between Web Dispacther and NW

Hi,

 

In the current server architecture, the SAP NW server is sit their local environment or called as DMZ where it is not communicate with the Internet. It have a SAP Web Dispatcher that able to communicate with public. I developed a EJB and expose it as a Webservice. So for inbound request, it will from public to Web Dispatcher then it route to SAP NW and look for the Webservice.

 

Would like to ask how about the response back for the request. As I know Web Dispatcher is for inbound only. The response is it directly from SAP NW to public? Then for this case due to the server is in DMZ, it unable to connect to external network. Or will it go through Web Dispatcher to response the request?

Error when connecting to Visual Administrator

Hi Experts,

 

     Im getting this error when trying to connect to visual administrator...

Im basis, and already ask to the IT team to open the port 50004 so the Visual administrator can connect. Their answer was that the port is open waiting for a tool to ask to connect to it. I´ve been looking for info in regards this issue unsuccessfully, can't find anything. Any ideas????

Upgrade BW 7.00 -> BW 7.31

Hi,

I have a specific question:we have only BW 7.00 ABAP installed and want to upgrade to BW 7.31.

After the upgrade can we still have only BW ABAP or must we also install BI Java?

In other words is BW 7.31 ABAP-only supported by SAP?

Client Copy Question

Dear All,

 

I need your little guidance.

Let's say my BASIS Landscape is as below:

PEC Client 400

QEC Client 200

I want to copy PEC client 400 to QEC client 200 or basically refresh data from PEC client 400 to QEC client 200.

In the above process, I don't want to create another client 400 in QEC! I want to reuse client 200 in QEC.

Is it possible?

I am trying to install SAP Netweaver 7.3, Using MaxDB and i am facing the following error at Install Java Engine Step.
