For the implementation project, issue with the Project life cycle

1)Requester has created an change Request for example :80000500

2)Change Manager will log-in and identify the type of Request (Normal,general,admin Request and send for approval )

change the status to approved .

before approving Change manager will change the project life cycle.

here i was not able to find the change Request Number in Project life cycle (80000500)

3)Developer , Tester and IT Operator workflow perfectly till quality system

4)when IT Operator was to import the Request to Production

I am getting an error like Change the life cycle to go-live, But change Request is not visible in Project life cycle

Hello SAP colleagues,

I have a solid 6 years of industry and consulting experience in the Basis field leading multiple project lifecycles and modules.  I feel I have a strong foundation administering many SAP products.  Even more stronger on things like infrastructure assessments, strategy, planning, and execution for the areas / technologies that often come up in a SAP project.  However, at this point I can’t really say I am a “specialist” in a given SAP area.  Below are some areas I was thinking about pursuing with notes.  I know HANA might be a common response and just want to mention that I would be looking to certify in that regardless (I do have some hands-on already) as I think at this point HANA should be even on the generalists’ list of skill sets.

BI / BW / Business Objects– I believe analytics will continue to have a strong future and this seems to be in most demand compared to other areas.  I also have some experiences to leverage.
SRM / Sourcing / MDM-Catalogue– this would be an easy focus for me due to previous experiences.
Solution Manager– there would be a little learning curve but not too much due to previous experiences.  There is a more configuration and services providing aspect from the administrator standpoint that I think is good.
Gateway– I think this has a good future, but does not seem to be too in demand.
Mobility– I think this has a great future, but interestingly does not seem to have a lot of demand (at least for non-consultant positions) on job boards.
Process Orchestration– sounds interesting, but does not seem to be too in demand.
LVM– sounds interesting, but does not seem to be too in demand.
SAP Security– I actually would not mind trying my hand at SAP Security and have done enough basic tasks already to not need too large a learning curve.  Security is pegged as a top IT priority for years to come.  Also the middle of night off hour calls would not be as bad in this field.

What are your suggestions on these or other area(s) to pursue?  Right now I’m wavering between choosing one of the BI, SRM, SolMan, and Security routes.  Feel free to direct message me if needed.

I want to know whether J2EE java Engine is available in ECC 6 EHP 6.0 Abap Stack or not ,coz i want to create portal connection and RFC connections to backend sytem from ECC to BI and BI to Portal for the reports ,But to my searching in system directories i am unable to get j2ee.bat file to start the J2EE application

Please suggest me what i should do ,or please help me how to connect Portal with my ECC backend system and BI system

gateway service

Any idea how can I add this to parameter on this system.

Is it from profile parameter?

Hi Experts,

  Today we have done few configuration related to AD and UME integration which doesn't go well. Please provide your valuable suggestions to overcome the issues. Steps what we followed are :

1. We have created service user in Ad

2. Configured service user with SPN (service prinicpal name)

3.Logged into nwa : http://hostname:port/nwa

4. Done UME configurations, please check attached doc for screenshot

5.Restart AS Java

We are looking to load the AD users into UME, could you please suggest what needs to be done after these steps.

We are trying install Ixos, Archive Server, with Oracle 11g and Tomcat 7.0.41, On Red Hat Linux

We start correctly Oracle and Tomcat. We have installed OpenText Archive Server 10.2.1 and the installer finished OK in all components. For these installations we are use the following guide "Opentext Archive Server 10.5.0 Installation on UNIX/LINUX".

But we have the following issues:
1.- When we chech the url http://localhost:8080/w3monc he have different errors with:
BackupServer  --> Component: bksrvr (Can't connect to this rpc server)
DocServices --> Component: auxsrvr (Can't connect to this rpc server)
     Component:   jds  (Can't connect to this rpc server)
     Component:   unavail (Can't connect to docservice)

request.getServerName() gives me the name of the reverse proxy server. How do I get the name of the server on which my application is deployed?

We cannot configure the STMS of our development system. When we try to

of tp configuration; TMS Alert Viewers tells us

Dear Experts,

SMTP Plug-in has been configured in accordance to the Note 455140 - to send mails from SAP system to external addresses and to receive mails from external addresses to SAP system via the SMTP Plug-in. Here we are relying on Gmail's SMTP server for this the Note 1702632 has been implemented.  And we are able to send mails from SAP system but SAP system is unable to receive mails.

Please suggest me to moving forward.

Diagnosis

The Maintenance Optimizer is informed for instance by the System Landscape Directory (SLD) about installed product instances. Every installed instance must be marked as relevant or in case of an ABAP instance also installed instance in the Solution Manager SMSY or LMDB.

Only marked instances are identified as installed instances by the Maintenance Optimizer.

System Response

Cancelation of the process.

Procedure

Mark instance as relevant or in case of an ABAP instance also installed instance in the SMSY or LMDB

The SAP Business Objects server does exist in SMSY and LMDB. The Tomcal server that is associated with it exists in the SLD, but the Business Objects Server itself does not.

In LMDB:<SID> (Product System) | Software | Assigned Product Instances

Not every product instance is marked as 'Diagnostics-Relevant'. Is this what the above help message is referring to? If so, do I need to mark them all as 'Diagnostics-Relevant'? is this safe to do?

Hi Experts,

SAP NW Installation Error "MS SQL Server version 10 is not supported for the installation of this product. Solution: Use apporopriate MS SQL Server version" occurred with SWPM 1.0. I referred the SAP PAM and accordingly I downloaded the media files for installation.

More Details:

SAP NW 7.4 SR2 installation on Windows Server 2008 R2 with MS Server 2008 R2.

Please suggest me with any ideas.

  I am unable to extract scs.sar file of SP14 . When i try to extract scs.sar with command

 sapcar -xvf scs.sar 

I am getting the below error...
