SAP SD benchmark client 900 can simulate less than 1000 users?

hi guys

now i am doing sd benchmark test. i created client 900. as you know  for sd, 1 client have 1000 users to simulate.

question is that:

can i use any number of users less than 1000 to simulate? i did not find any doc talk about it.
