We are using NW7.3 for SAP BPM  Application.

We are planning for Source system java export alone in NW 7.3. But we don't find the option for central instance export under based on AS java in SAPINST. only database instance export option only exist. I know there is no central instance concept from NW7.3. We are trying to refresh the CATE system using Production system. we are already performed database refresh in CATE system and trying to export java profile in source system and import into CATE system.

Please tell us the procedure for central instance export in NW7.3.

Hi Guys,

Wich transport orders should be released before a SAP upgrade? How could I know which transport orders should be verified by the programmers, etc before an upgrade?

I verified the table E071 to check all the lock objects but I'm not sure if this is the best way to verify which transport orders have lock objects on it that could present an issue in a SAP upgrade.

Any help is appreciated.

04.03.2015: SP Stack Kernel 721 PL#401 Revoked

SP Stack kernel 721 PL #401 has been revoked from SAP Support Portal for all platforms except for MS Windows because the kernel archives contained some files with wrong versions.

In most cases it is not necessary to replace the kernel in a system running with PL#401 because the issue has a limited impact and does not affect the kernel itself. Details are outlined in Note 2138260.

SP stack kernel PL#402 will be released as soon as possible; this document will be updated accordingly.

06.02.2015: SP Stack Kernel 741 PL#200 Released

A new SP stack kernel 741 PL #200 has been released today and can be downloaded from SAP Support Portal.

For a summary of enhancements and improvements included into this stack kernel, see SAP Note 2101802 - SAP Support Package Stack Kernel 7.41 Patch Level 200.

30.01.2015: SP Stack Kernel 721 PL#401 replaces PL#400

Current SP stack kernel 721 PL#400 has been replaced with PL#401, see Note 2121693 - SAP Support Package Stack Kernel 7.21 (EXT) Patch Level 401.

It fixes a file permission issue that has a very limited impact:

• It occurs with 721_EXT kernel on Windows platforms only
• It has no effect at runtime, only for future system maintenance
• Workaround is easy

This means: even if above criteria apply, it is not always necessary to replace already installed 721 kernel PL#400. Refer to Note 2118382 for more information.

SAP Note 2084437 contains the list of known regressions in the stack kernel 721 PL #401. This note will be continuously updated.

16.12.2014: SP Stack Kernel 721 PL#400 Released

A new SP stack kernel 721 PL #400 is now available on SAP Service Marketplace.

SAP Note 2101779contains the list of changes and enhancements introduced in this stack kernel compared to the previous stack kernel PL #300.

All regressions known in the PL #300 have been fixed.

Review SAP Note 2084436 for known issues in the stack kernel 721 PL #400. This note will be continuously updated.

With kernel 741 PL #100 a new SP stack kernel has been released for the 741 kernel version.

A new SP stack kernel 720 PL #700 is now available on SAP Service Marketplace. Refer to SAP Note 2077789 for more detail on corrections and improvements delivered with this patch.

Please note that the kernel 721 will replace the kernel 720 as standard kernel in Q1 2015 as stated in SAP note 1975687. There is only one more SP stack kernel 720 planned to be delivered before this milestone is reached.

I realize that there have been posts on this issue before, but I spent several hours yesterday searching the boards and never arrived at a complete solution.

• I have installed the Netweaver 7.03 SP04 trial.
• I have logged in as DDIC user and have executed the post-installation actions on SE06.

When I go to set up transport, however, I keep getting the error "TMS must be configured for 000".  All the documentation I have found seems to suggest that I should get a popup window on first connect to STMS to configure the transport domain - this popup is never shown.  I have tried Extras -> Delete TMS Configuration, but receive the error "TMS not configured for system NSP".

From reading some previous posts, I have confirmed that there is a "sapmnt" share available, and added the SYSTEM user with full permission roles to the share.  This did not seem to have any effect - I still receive both errors as described above.

What are the next steps I should pursue to get the transport working?

FrontEnd - UIHR001 100

BackEnd - GBX01HR

Activated backend services  and front end services using IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE and SICF transactions.

Got all the roles assigned to my id

SAP_HR_BCR_EMPLOYEE_T for both the systems

But when i try to launch the application from my launchpad i am facing the below given issue

Brief information about our QAS system:

- SAP: SAP ECC 6.0 EHP5.

- DB: MS SQL 2008 R2 (Ver 10.50).

- OS: Windows Server 2008 R2.Standard (64 bits).

- SAPGUI 7.20

I've recently updated our SAP logon image (right hand side image) with a customized GIF image. The process went smoothly with SMW0.

However, when I tried to logon to the QAS system on a newly configured PC with SAPGUI configured for the FIRST TIME, the GIF image does not immediately displayed on the screen. The right hand side image displayed blank, no GIF image. Some other users who logon to this SAP instance with a different PC (all new PCs) also encountered the same issue, no GIF image displayed.

The image only displays after I click on a button to create a new logon session. However, on a subsequent logon, the GIF image is able to be displayed with no problem. Weird, rigth? When I checked again, found the local cache is totally EMPTY on an intial logon attempt, subsequently, it's being filled up.

Has anybody encountered this issue before?

What could be the problem and how to fix it?

While installing on "Import ABAP" step, i get the error "migration monitor exits with error code 2"

Hello Experts,

We have an PI adapter (ftp adapter) configured to send files to a remote ftp server, we have a firewall between PI and remote server. Configuration was done using the following Configuring the Receiver FTP Adapter - Configuring the File/FTP Adapter in Integration Directory/PCK - SAP Library

Remote server has an IP address that we have configured on firewall with a range of port numbers that we can connect through to on remote server.

The FTP transfers happen in the following manner

1) FTP adapter makes connection to remote host, exchanges userid/password, remote server sends acknowledgement = Works

2) FTP adapter issues PASV command = Works

3) Remote Server responds back with new IP address and port number (the IP address is potentially garbage) = Works

4) PI FTP Adapter attempts to connect on new IP address and port number (IP address is garbage, so it doesn't go anywhere) = Doesn't Work

5) PI FTP Adapter bails out after a timeout.

Has anyone found a solution to this ? is there a way to get PI to use a specific IP address when it issues a PASV command in the FTP adapter.

Is there a way to force PI to continue to use the original IP address that was used to connect to remote host.

I have tried searching on SDN and found the following links:

PS: If I login into PI box at unix level and try to use FTP client to directly login into remote server using ftp <remote server> , it works, it also allows me to transfer files using PASSV mode.

I´m developing some web services with business processes in NWDS 7.31 to be deployed in NW Java AS. I´m not using NW PI. I wanted to validate the XML requests against their XSD, so I decided to create an intermediate web service in an EJB. I tried different approaches.

The first one was to use @SchemaValidation but when I try to build it, it appears: packet not found. I think that the reason is the library: com.sun.xml.internal.ws.developer.SchemaValidation. As it is internal, it should not be used and gives problems of compilation. For avoiding it with javac, the next option can be specified: -XDignore.symbol.file=true. I am not really sure how to set it in the Eclipse environment. I tried with the compiler preferences, but I didn´t find it, with the JVM arguments, but it didn´t work, and also with the ant arguments. I´m not really sure how to get it. Of course I also tried to import directly the library but nothing.

The second option was creating a @WebServiceProvider. Here the problem is that wsdlLocation cannot be found: "The WSDL file given in wsdl-file element of webservices.xml or @javax.jws.WebService.wsdLocation element could not be found. WSDL location: [./ejbModule/META-INF/wsdl/Authorization.wsdl] ". But the path seems to be correctly given: @WebServiceProvider(portName="Tests17Port", serviceName="Tests17Service", wsdlLocation="./ejbModule/META-INF/wsdl/Authorization.wsdl"). I´m not sure if this has something to do with the problem found in the next note: http://search.sap.com/notes?id=0001418019, but I´m using SAP Netweaver BPC 731 SP3: BPM Ivy Development purposes.

As this options was giving problems, I decided to create my own validator and I stored it in a Logicalhandler (third approach), so I can access directly to the payload. It works fine, but the security policies of SAP NW AS are not applied. In fact, if I try to call it from the Web Service Navigator, it gives me the next error:

Web service returned error. Fault Code: "(http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/)Server" Fault String: "com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxws.handlers.JAXWSHandlersException: No handler chain configuration found for configuration with id '-178749473[sap.com/tests01_ear_HTTPAuthOverHTTP_1]'"

As I have to use the @HandlerChain annotation, it seems like if the handlers that SAP NW AS normally apply, disappear. I tried to implement the security layer by my own, but I don´t go beyond preemptive authentication. Anyway, I´m sure that implementing security by my own is not the way.

The next options that I have thought are implementing it with Axis2 or using SAP NW PI. Axis2 uses Maven, and it´s something that I don´t like. Anyway, this is neither an option, due its incompatibility with SAP NW. In fact, when one try to create a new web service with Axis2, it appears the next error message:  "SAP Server does not support the Apache Axis2 Web service runtime. Choose a different server or runtime to proceed through the Web services wizard"

I´m not really sure, but I think that PI seems to be too much complicated for only two web services.

I am installing SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 7 Oracle 11.2.0.4 on Redhat 7 Enterprise Server, but at SICK tcode we have an error " "The UUID daemon (uuidd) is not active (code 30256). Check SAP note 1391070." this note isn't helpful.

what happened when I have an objet bigger than rsdb/obj/large_object_size XXX size?

1) the object will be placed in swap and never in the memory

2) the buffer allocate another block of XXX in order to store the object.

Having already got the accounts.google.com SSL certificate chain installed and working I can't get the docs.google.com SSL chain working.

For accounts.google.com they use (this set works) :-

1) CN=accounts.google.com, O=Google Inc, L=Mountain View, SP=California, C=US

2) CN=Thawte SGC CA, O=Thawte Consulting (Pty) Ltd., C=ZA

3) OU=Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority, O="VeriSign, Inc.", C=US

For docs.google.com they use a different set of SSL certs. :-

1) CN=*.google.com, O=Google Inc, L=Mountain View, SP=California, C=US

2) CN=Google Internet Authority, O=Google Inc, C=US

3) OU=Equifax Secure Certificate Authority, O=Equifax, C=US

Can anyone explain what I am doing wrong or how to correct this?
