Problem during install additional Cluster node

Hello All,

 

I am installing additionl cluster node,

 

I get this error:

 


An error occurred while processing option SAP EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver PI/Mobile/Banking 7.1 > MS SQL Server > System Copy > Target System > High-Availability System > Based on AS ABAP and AS Java > Additional Cluster Node( Last error reported by the step:

 

Error 2 (The system cannot find the file specified. ) in execution of a 'StartService' function, line (107), with parameter (SAPPXA_46).). You can now:

 

Any Idea help?

The Java load in database / has not been configured yet. You cannot run an installation from the System Copy folder with this load

Dear Gurus,

 

We are facing the below issue when performing a homogeneous system copy of NW 7.0 system using backup/restore method for DB6 system.

 

The Java load in database <SID>/<hostname> has not been configured yet. You cannot run an installation from the System Copy folder with this load.

 

We went through the SAP Note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2049842, and followed the same but no luck.

 

We updated the Kernel to the latest, but still no luck.

 

Request for your quick help as we have to complete it by EOD today.

Table Splitting and Package Splitting

Dear Gurus,


We have an ECC with 4.3 TB of database running on MSSQL 2008 and planning to migrate to SAP ASE.
We plan to use SWPM parallel export/import feature.

I understand that the table splitting using R3ta can be applied for either Top 20 or so biggest tables or tables with longer export runtime (based on the earlier mock runs).

 

But what I am unable to figure out is that what should be approach for splitting the table. E.g, we have CDCLS cluster table of around 300GB. and couple of more tables with 500GB, 400GB etc.

 

I have following queries regarding table and package splitting.


1. What should be min and max splitting ratio per table?
2. Does the behaviour of R3ta (R3ta runtime) increases with the more number of splits per table?
3. What aspects need to be considered before deciding on the splitting factor of a table?
4. Once the R3ta split is done, what should be ideal ranges for spltting?

 

Request you to guide me in this regard.

Parallel Processing Jobs - Dialogue Work Process Timeout Value

I have a client who's ECC system has this parameter set:

 

rdisp/max_wprun_time = 0

 

OSS note 25528 - Parameter rdisp/max_wprun_timesays that this parameter should not be set to 0. I agree with this.

 

 

The reason the client has this value set to 0 is because they run jobs in parallel. The parallel jobs generate dialogue work processes and they do not want the overall jobs to fail because a Dialogue process hits the timeout value defined by rdisp/max_wprun_time.

 

SAP pages SAP Library - Background Processing and Parallel Processing Jobs with Asynchronous RFC - Background Processing - SAP Library explain the process whereby a parallel background job generates dialogue work processes.

 

All other companies I've worked at have the parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time set and have not encountered issues whereby a background job has failed due to a dialogue work process timing out.

 

Please can you tell me if I am right in thinking that the rdisp/max_wprun_time parameter would affect dialogue work processes which have been generated by parallel background jobs.

BRTools on ORACLE ASM Fails on startup\shutdown\backup of instance

Hi all,

we installed a solution manager 7.1 on Linux\Oracle ASM (11.2.0.4), installation ended succesfully and the system works, but we had some issues on brtools.

 

They works fine for statistics and DB check, but if we try to startup, shutdown or backup the DB we have tris ussue:

We already try with brtools 7.20 versione 30 and 39 and now we have 7.40 version 11, but we have always same result.

SM37 - background job delay

In the output list of SM37, what exactly is the "Delay"?  Is it a delay from when the job was scheduled to run to when it actually ran?  Is it the amount of time that the job was waiting for something or other at various moments during execution?  Or a combination of the previous two?

 

Our system is very quiet, but the majority of background jobs have a delay of up to a minute.  There are plenty of background jobs and often these jobs are the only ones running at the time.

 

Curious to know what's going on here.

Print output not aligned properly in 2nd page of two-sided print

Hi Gurus,

 

Please help me out with the below issue.

 

User is complaining to us, that the smartform print output is not coming properly.

First, she told me that the alignment of print output is extremely towards right and asked me if i can shift it by 4mm towards left.

In SPAD, i set the "horizontal move" to "-4" and it worked fine. She told me that the output is perfect.

 

But now the issue is, when is giving two-sided print, the print on 2nd side is not aligned properly. The first page is coming perfectly, but the 2nd page on two sided print is not aligned properly. The 2nd page did not tool the alignment i set in SPAD. The settings in SPAD remain the same, but the 2nd page in two-sided print is not aligned properly as first page.

 

Am puzzled and not sure how to resolve this.

Is there anything need to be changed at smarform layout?

 

Any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Send Status GREEN in SOST but NO email received

Dear All,

 

In case if the recipient email address is wrong, then SOST should show in RED but SOST status is showing as GREEN. Are there any specific settings for the same to have the status as RED in case of wrong email address?

Instalation error

Hi you all!

I am having a so strange error on my JAVA instalation. The sapinst is trying to put up the instance and stops with the error

 

Execution of the command "/usr/sap/EPD/J22/exe/jstart pf=/usr/sap/EPD/SYS/profile/EPD_J22_SVLXAPD03 -file=/usr/sap/EPD/J22/exe/startup.properties -nodename=bootstrap -launch" finished with return code 1. Output:

Did you saw this kind of error?

Router installation error during the phase of saprouttab details

Hi Experts,

 

While during the installation of router, at the phase of giving the details of saprouttab, i have come to stuck.

Can any one help me what to give from our end? ie., which IP,which port has to be given from our end?

 

 

I checked with a note in google and based on it i configured the router in my system. But when at the step of "saprouttab", i am confused that which all IP has to be given. i.e, Server IP or Static IP? the port numbers?

SAP IDOC Archival - High Volumes of data

HI  Team ,

 

We have started Idoc Archival Process , the Current Volume of idoc data in

 

Production  is 100 M .

 

TO Archive

 

2M records in QA system it is taking 16-17 Hours  .

 

So

 

We need ideas to Process them In optimal manner with less impact to other jobs running in Production system &

to retrive them

 

when required. (Idoc write / idoc Reload process should be easy & should be according to Audit Rules)

 

As of Now Our idea

 

: Thought of writing one custom Program and Process  based on idoc type and Dates (RSEXARCA)

& planning to update one custom table with Archival file

 

details .

 

For Ex : idoctype         from dt            to dt                archivedon   time          file

 

             HRMDA_07   01/01/2014 to 06/01/2014   10/29/2014   6:00:00    ABC_file.

 

 

Please let us know if any other alternative optimal procedure to carry out Idoc Archival process &

 

batch job plans  .

Maximum runtime exceeded error

TREX (in VMS/VELO) - is it working correctly or not?

Hi all

 

I have already posted a detailed question about the issue we are having in the SAP Oracle section (https://scn.sap.com/thread/3642137) which has had some discussion and has delved into the workings of Oracle and execution plans.

 

What I want to do here is go down a different path, and ask here a more generic question about how TREX works, or at least, the way TREX/SES works when activated for VMS/transaction VELO.

 

My understanding was that when a user runs a search in VELO with TREX set up, that the selection criteria is effectively passed to TREX, which then goes ahead and checks its index and returns vehicle IDs (VGUID) to the transaction. A modified SAP/SQL query is then ran against the SAP system, making use of these vehicle IDs and thus speeding up the search.

 

So far right?

 

However, it seems that although the SQL ran does appear to now contain the relevant VGUIDs (from tracing we see that with TREX disabled VGUID does not appear in the SQL) it also contains all (except one) of the original fields/search criteria from the initial search.

 

Surely it doesn't need this? As TREX has returned the relevant VGUIDs, matching the users selection criteria, the SQL search should purely search on VGUID - right?

 

As it is, those extra criteria, which includes a huge in-list of material numbers, are slowing down the search - it takes over 8 times longer with TREX enabled!

 

Is TREX configured incorrectly - can you configure somewhere what exactly TREX returns? Or is this 'hard coded' and it more likely a bug within the code/VELO transaction?

Hello,

 

I am having issues using NetWeaver As Java 7.30 SP7 (the most recent version for 7.30). This error message is thrown within Biller Direct directly after logon, but I guess this is not a Biller Direct issue and more related to the NetWeaver 7.30.

 

I am having the same setup also using NetWeaver 7.31 as local developer environment without getting the same error.

A general problem has occurred within the logon. The error message is: while trying to load from an object array loaded from local variable 'businessObjectType'.

 

THere is no error message in the log files, so i am unable to locate the actual issue. I was looking for the text "while trying to load from an object array loaded from local variable", but it is not known within the source of Biller Direct.

 

I was hoping, that somebody had similar issues and could help me to solve this issue? It would be already very help full to point me just in the right direction to locate the source of the message

SSL POODLE

Hi All,

 

There is bug called POODLE effecting on SSLv3, and the work around for now is to change to TLSv1.

Currently our SAP is connected to middleware using SSLv3 and in middleware we are going to change from SSLv3 to TLSv1.

My question is any impact on the connection from SAP to middleware?

how to change the SSLv3 to TLSv1 in SAP?

 

I check our SAPCRYPTOLIB is PL34. via SE38 -> SSF02.

Need help to resolve ssl certificate error

Hallo, I try to add my certificat signed from godedy, to NW 7.40 java

environment.

I have two java(portal) environments - one on NW 7.0 and one on NW 7.40

and two pem files - key.pem and cert.pem or one pfx file, already signed by godedy. On the 7.0 there are no problems with the certificat if I

open

IE browser.

I have imported private key from pfx file in NW 7.40 java keystore successful, but it's  not possible to include certificat from cert file, the message "ERROR: -> iaik.asn1.CodingException:

ASN.1

creation error: iaik.asn1.CodingException: Length: Too large ASN.1

object: 40"

is thrown.

As a result I can't export view to pse to get signed certificat to start working.
