Exporting ST01 trace output cuts column info

0
0

Hi experts

I must export RFC trace information from ST01 Trace Analysis to any external format (XLS or XML or RTF...). My problem is: the info in Object column is shorter than that shown on detail screen. For example, in main screen Object column shows only BAPI_MDPROVIDER_. If I double click that line, a detail screen shows a longer text for Object column, whose title becomes "Function Module", with value BAPI_MDPROVIDER_GET_VARIABLES.

I need the full name of the function module available in the detail screen. However, I could not find any way to expand Object column width in main screen.

How can I customize width for Object column on ST01 Trace Analysis to get the full length information? Is there any external tool capable of reading a ST01 trace file?

Thanks.

Fernando

Reverse CRM EHP upgrade

Hi Experts,

I did EHP3 with NW740 upgrade for CRM 7.0 EHP2 with NW730 and got completed successfully in production system.

After upgrade due to some enhancement functionality the custom components in CRM_UI faced some major issues.

Posted message to sap and tried to rectify but before solution, our production downtime is closed and customer asked us to revert the upgrade.

I had restored the database backup taken during down time phase and now system is up and running with CRM 7.0 EHP2 with NW730.

Now the issue is customer wants to again to start upgrade with different SP level. in order to do that i need to reset upgrade completely.

I did not took backup of SUM directory during downtime phase start.

So how can i reset the upgrade manually ?, i believe the only step needs to be carried out is to clear all shadow tables from database and change few status tables.

Please help me in providing the manual steps with standard documentation.

Regards,

Giridharan

Dear Gurus,

We are performing Support package upgrade using SUM tool, we have performed using SAINT on DEV and it took 8 hours of downtime on QAS we performed using SUM and downtime was around 3 hours.

Resources

OS - Linux suse 10

QAS - CPU 2 , RAM - 16 GB

PRD - CPU 16 , RAM - 160 GB

Process numbers provided during QAS upgrade via SUM-

Enter the maximum number of background processes during the update:

BATCH PROCESSES (UPTIME): 10

BATCH PROCESSES (DOWNTIME): 12

Enter the maximum number of parallel DDL processes:

DDL PROCESSES (UPTIME): 6

DDL PROCESSES (DOWNTIME): 8

Enter the maximum number of parallel import processes:

R3TRANS PROCESSES (UPTIME): 6

R3TRANS PROCESSES (DOWNTIME): 8

Enter the maximum number of parallel phases to run:

PARALLEL PHASES (UPTIME): 4

PARALLEL PHASES (DOWNTIME): 4

We will like to achieve reduce downtime for PRD instance considering client requirement for less downtime, can anyone guide how much processes shall we set to achieve less downtime?

Total processes available on CI - 60 (Dia/Back)

Kindly guide to achieve better result.

Multiple internal SAP servers with one Web Dispatcher

0

Hello

I am trying to configure Web Dispatcher to send traffic to a different internal server based on the URL entered. I am trying to use 'modification rules' to achieve this.

I have added the following to my profile:

icm/HTTP/mod_0 = PREFIX=/,FILE=C:\usr\sap\WPQ\SYS\profile\icm_filter_rules.txt

wdisp/system_0 = SID=AAA, MSHOST=192.168.1.32, MSPORT=8101

wdisp/system_1 = SID=BBB, MSHOST=192.168.1.31, MSPORT=8101

The contents of icm_filter_rules.txt:

if %{HTTP_HOST} regimatch aaa*

SetHeader x-sap-webdisp-target-sid AAA [break]

if %{HTTP_HOST} regimatch bbb*

SetHeader x-sap-webdisp-target-sid BBB [break]

RegForbiddenUrl ^/(.*) -

The result is that both URLs aaa.domain.com and bbb.domain.com both get routed to the first server, aaa.com / 192.168.1.32. I can't get bbb.domain.com to go to the BBB system / 192.168.1.31!

What could I be doing wrong please?

Cheers

Strange situation with clearings date for delta BW

0
0

Dear Guru

We use the standard extractors 0FI_GL_14, 0FI_AR_30, 0FI_AP_30 to account "Accounts receivable" and "Accounts payable". Since that report, we consider only open positions, hence we analyze the date alignment AUGDT. In productive ERP we encountered the same problem: the delta update procedure 0FI_GL_14 AIED. Thus, the information found on forums and help'e had such understanding - if the document is created, the record should get a table BWFI_AEDAT, which are read from the changed document titles, then ship all items from BSEG. Everything would be fine if not for adjustment is not key fields: for example clearing operation or reversal. At this point, the field BKPF-AEDAT transactionally not changed in ERP, therefore changes should not get in BWFI_AEDAT, but the data in BW come.

If we consider a specific example, but I want to note that this problem is not regular, so it is impossible to systematize the problem:

1 creates a document with empty AUGDT, AUGCP, AUGBL.
Delta says it for me and ship in BW.
After a time a document is created 2, which is a reversal of the document 1 and shall AUGDT, AUGCP, AUGBL in both documents, but only brings the delta document 2 and the amended document 1 does not work.

Dear experts, help to understand how to construct a chain of operations since inception to the end-1 document display in reporting document 2. Just wanted to you to share the experience in other companies analyzed open \ closed position papers if SAP'a recommendations to update the field BKPF-AEDAT following:

Calendar day on which the last document change was made using a document change function.
Document changes resulting from other processing, for example, clearing, dunning or payment, are not taken into consideration.

PS: I have presented only a very simple example, the same problems occur operation UnJustify \ reversal in previous periods (reason 03, 04).

Adjustments in production systems

0
0

Hello,

I work on SAP Product Support. There are a couple of incidents opened by customers related to high amount of dumps when changing their production system during business hours. My goal with this post is to share some information about causes and solutions related to this topic.

There are several types of dumps that may occur in such scenarios. Some of them are listed below:

  • DDIC_COMP_CNT_INCONSISTENT
  • DDIC_TYPE_INCONSISTENCY
  • DDIC_TYPELENG_INCONSISTENT
  • GETWA_CANT_CLEAR
  • GETWA_WRONG_LENGTH
  • LOAD_COMMON_PART
  • CONNE_IMPORT_WRONG_COMP_TYPE
  • LOAD_CLASS_VERSION_MISMATCH
  • LOAD_INTF_VERSION_MISMATCH
  • LOAD_PROGRAM_CLASS_MISMATCH
  • LOAD_PROGRAM_LOST
  • LOAD_PROGRAM_INTF_MISMATCH
  • LOAD_SWITCHSTATES_MISMATCH
  • LOAD_TYPEPOOL_VERSION_MISMATCH
  • LOAD_TYPE_VERSION_MISMATCH
  • TYPELOAD_NEW_VERSION

Be careful when executing the following activities in production system:

  • Activate business functions
  • Release transport requests into a running system
  • Convert database tables
  • Make changes to programs or dictionary elements that could affect programs that are currently running

It is recommended that a window be defined when doing such adjustments. If it is not possible to stop the system, it is recommended that such adjustments be done when few user are using the system, for example on the weekend or at night. However, the ideal scenario is that nobody be connected to the system.

In case you start getting the dumps mentioned above, it is recommended that you check the solution described in the following note:
162991 - Generation tools for ABAP programs

Maurício Grisa

Hi,

System ruuning with very slow performance, also transports taking too long time to import.

I found some errors in SLOG , there are many entries " Background job RDDIMPDP could not be started or terminated abnormally"

As per SAP note 79518 , this standard job is not running properly. Do i need to reschedule this job in client 000 as ddic. Is there any conflict/effect for my prod system to trigger this job?

Do i need to schedule this job in all clients or only 000 is enough ?

CC with external mail for RFQ and PO

0
0

Dear All,

Mails are triggered to the vendors for RFQ and PO. The Purchase department does not get any report or system confirmation if the mails are successfully triggered or not. Having a CC to the external mails would confirm that the mails have been triggered by the system. Can we have a CC for all the external mails getting generated for the RFQs and POs? Is this technically feasible?

CC : can be user sending the RFQ or PO.

Performance problems due to sequential read on tables WBCROSSGT and CROSS

0

Hello all,

got the SAPNW2004s Sneak Preview ABAP installed. Performance is quite ok. But with certain dictionary operations like creating new attributes for a class I experience exceptional long runtimes and timeout dumps. In SM50 I see a sequential read on table WBCROSSGT. In OSS I can't find anything applicable yet for this release  (SAP_BASIS 700, support level 5).

Any suggestions appreciated.

SAP Netweaver 7.3 Installation stuck at import abap

0
0

Hi all,

I am trying to do a new installation of NW 7.3 by importing data from a system copy.

At the phase "import ABAP" the installation gets an error on step 32 (or something like that), then it continues but at the last 2 jobs it seems stucked.

Now I have this situation: running 1, waiting 1, completed 42, failed 1.

I am new to this operation, can you please help me?

In attach the import log and the error that is generated near step 32.

Add a Java stack

Hello,

I have a question about Java stack.

In my project, we have only ABAP stack (ECC, SOLMAN).

We need a Java stack. Can I use the same database that is used by other systems (ECC, SOLMAN...)?

Is it supported by SAP?

Thank you for your help.

Mathieu.
