I have known how to change the right logo of the sapgui.Now I want to change sap logo in the bottom of sapgui,I tried to use GuiXT ，but I found
GuiXT can't do it. If I use script Image (2,33) (28,50) "ribz.jpg" to put the image to the bottom,it will be hidden.Is there any other way to change the logo?

We use log4j to log from our application out to the same directory as the server logs. (ie j2ee/cluster/server0/logs)
It is currently configured with the RollingFileAppender and set to a backup of 5, with a size of 10Mb, as shown below.

a) RollOver - we have files that are nearly 800Mb in size now!
b) Backup - it never creates the backup
But it is logging the right level,etc, and uses the right location - so it cant be the log4j configuration
Are there any permissions that need to be set from a O/S level??
Any ideas welcome!!

I am playing around with a trial account for SAP HANA Cloud, especially deploying apps with usage of on-premise services of an ABAP application server. For checking the authentication functionalities, I intended to setup a SSO scenario. As I don't have an IdP for my own, I thought it was a good idea to use the SAP ID service as trusted IdP for my AS.
I obtained the needed configuration data as described in this Blog entry: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3425133
When I try to configure SAP ID service as trusted IdP in the SAML 2.0 configuration of the AS (TA SAML2), I always get the error message "some certificates of the selected trusted provider where not parsed" on step Signature and Encryption. I can't finish the configuration on step Authentication Requirements due error message "new trusted provider can not be saved. certificate cannot be saved in Address Book. Cannot analyze certificate".
When I try to add the certificate manually (TA STRUSTSSO2, Certificate > Address Book), i get the error message "cannot analyze certificate".
The certificate is importable to every PSE file and to my Windows Certificate Manager, and except of an outdated validity period, it looks well formed for me.
Has anyone tried the same and succeeded?
Can anyone provide me other suggestions on that?

we've a SAP NetWeaver Portal running on 7.3. i've uninstalled two unused dialog instance. in the config tool those instances still presented. i also found several entries in log files because those instances could not be reached.
how do i remove those instances from the landscape? in the config tool? (switch to configuration editor mode - cluster_config - system - instances) i could not find any documentation

Hello,
We have SAP BW system running on NetWeaver 7.3 platform.
Recently we have upgraded SAP GUI from version 710 to 720 Patch 11.
With SAP GUI 710 , both BEX 3 and BEX 7 reports were functioning perfectly.
After upgrade of SAP GUI to 720 Patch 11, BEX 3 reports still works properly.
However when we run BEX 7 reports, it launches the Excel but nothing happens after that. (blank Excel file)
Note- We thought this might be an issue with SAP GUI 720 version so we have also installed SAP GUI 730 on few workstations but the issue remains same.
Your expert advise to resolve above issue would be highly appreciated.

We are running SAP NetWeaver AS Java 7.30 and have a number of software components (SCs) that are empty, i.e. they contain no DCs. This is because the DCs have been deleted or moved to another SC. The empty SCs are still visible in NWA > System Information > Components Info.
I need to undeploy these empty SCs. How can I do this? There is no SDM since we are on 7.30. I have tried undeploying these SCs from the deployment perspective in NWDS. There I can undeploy non-empty SCs but when I try to undeploy empty SCs I get some errors and the SC is not undeployed. This is what I do:
In the deployment perspective I right-click the empty SC and select "Add to Undeployment List". The SC is added to the list. I then click start and OK in the confirmation popup. Then I get the following error message in two different popups:

I was trying to connect from my java using sapjco3 with the help of Documentation provided.
But when i try

the code block in if statement never execute.(meaning data provider already registered) but I dont know which DataProvider already registered in the Environment. My class is singleton.
I tried Establishing a connection via Class but no luck.
is there any way to see which data provider already registered by program or by administration.

We have end users logging into EP (7.3) using the 50000/irj/portal URL.
We have both SSO (LDAP) & non SSO (UME) users.
Once inside, they access SPM (3.0) using the SPM iView (with SSO).
Thus, their SPM backend passwords have been deactivated.
The issue is when emails are generated from SPM, the URL that the user
receives in his Inbox takes him to http://webdispserver:8100/sap/fcprt?app-config=spm......
This URL demands an SPM (backend-ABAP) password which the user does not
have...
Please advise if there's a way we can redirect the link to use the users' EP password
in some way...or any other way of bypassing this obstacle...since users wish to use / remember only one password...

We had run the SMIGR_DDL_CREATE report before beginning the DB Export and had chosen Unicode conversion option
I have an OSS message on "very-high" on this error, but they are not helping very much! I came across Note 932779 -Unicode conversion - analysis of nametab problems
I have checked out the SAPNTAB.TOC file. unfortunately , there is only SAPNTAB_1B , but I couldnt find the the SAPNATB_2B inside the .TOC file.
Please help in resolving this.

We had run our Pre Unicode conversion activities from SPUMG on 09/01/2014 after which we had taken our 1st DB export last week.
But we had issues related to Duplicate keys during Primary index creation during the Import phase and the duplicate key deletion resulting in deletion of almost 56,800,000 rows from the CMFP table, due to which we abandoned our import and had to redo the Export process.
We have earlier taken export of the DB , but never faced this issue in the last 2 months while doing the export..
Do you have any ideas?

I am trying to set the archiving directory full alert and i believe we don't get data for it as the saposcol destination is not working
The host is database plus the ASCS so there is a sap gateway running on this host
SAPXPG_DBDEST_<DBHOST> is working fine
SAPOSCOL_<DBHOST> is setup like this
Activation type: startup on explicit host
program: rfcoscol
Startup type: default gateway value
gateway host : <DBHOST>
gateway service: sapgw00 (00 is the instance number of the ASCS)
Whenever i test the connection it says Partner program fork unsuccessful
P.S saposcol is running inside the sap host agent.
Any ideas here?

Does anyone knows what is needed in order to enable SSO passport for Service Marketplace. Namely in Internet Explorer I got error:
"No technical request data was transferred from the previous page. Usually this occurs if ActiveX is not enabled. Enable 'Active X plugins' in the Internet Explorer:
Tools> Internet Options > Tab Security> Custom Level... > Mark Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins. Click on Apply for SAP Passport again."
I tried this hint but it did not help. It is happenning in Internet Explorer 11. Should I downgrade it. If so how can I do that?

We have used the parameter icm/HTTP/error_templ_path=/usr/sap/**/**/data/icmerror for defining the custom error page for web dispatcher and it is working fine.
Our requirement is if any user is entering the wrong URL like http://Company.Domian.com/idsf it should dispaly the custom error page instead of standard error page
Please help us in procedure to follow for custom error page for wrong url.
