Texts missing in Spanish language - Where did i go wrong?

$

Hi guys,

As posted in other threads i recently did a CU & UC from ECC 6.0 to 6.0 EHP7. Everything went smoothly but when users log into spanish a lot of texts are missing, for example: RFC descriptions text, matchcodes from SE38 and other transactions appear empty.

I did a language supplementation a few minutes ago and changed second language to english but nothing seems to work.

I just checked original system (the one i made the export to install the sandbox for the CU & UC) and it has the exact same behaviour.

Any tips or hints will be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Martim.

STMS with Development Tool Package Route

$

Hi Everyone,

We have recently implemented ChaRM with cCTS and I am having difficulty with a requirement from my development team. They have tools that they use for development that they want to be able to maintain in a single system and transport to all of the other development systems and all of the QA systems. I have been able to get this to work with TMS and using a transport group / transport layer, but when we create the transports through ChaRM, I am only given the option of a transport with a target of the QA system for the development system in which they are developing the code.

To be clear, we have 6 development systems in our project landscape, and 6 QA systems, and I want to develop in 1 of the development systems and have the transport release to a transport group containing the 5 other development systems and the 6 QA systems.

Does this seem like it should be possible with cCTS? Would it be possible if it were in a project without clustering active?

HTTP --> HTTPS redirect

Hi Guys,

We are facing issue while trying to redirect from http to https.

Could you please provide us the settings or list of parameters that need to be added in dispatcher for the redirects to happen .

The requirement is urls should redirect to https for any pages where sensitive data is displayed or entered, Also need to link back to http when we leave those pages. When we click “login” for example, it should redirect to HTTPS through login, but if we hit one of the categories after that it should return to HTTP

Redirect is working fine when we access the application directly using server name and port. when we go through dispatcher we are facing the issue.

PS:

We tried to change the parameter [ icm/HTTP/redirect ] but found no luck, I want to know weather the object "FROM" in the parameter icm/HTTP/redirect is necessary to mention or can i eliminate it by just entering the objects "prefix" and "to" in the parameter.

and what is that i need to enter in the "PREFIX" (i.e. should I enter the whole url or what!!? Kindly let me know what i need to fill it with.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi,

We are not able to bring up Netweaver Application Server.

Here are the errors we found in defaultTrace_00.9.trc

1. com.sap.engine.frame.core.locking.TechnicalLockException: Cannot initialize "EnquLocktableClient".

2. EncomiHandle.Connect(): connection 1: first connect failed to host sapeis-stg-01 on port 3201 Connection refused (port 3201 to address ::ffff:173.38.0.214 (sapeis-stg-01.cisco.com))()--> Check the status of the enqueue server#

May I know what is the root cause .

We had to move the NFS folder on a new machine and kept the host name same as before.

OS/DB migration or not ?

Dear ALL

I found the FAQ about the OS/DB migration but it's not clear for me.

Frequently Asked Questions | SAP Support Portal

I would like to change my OS Linux Redhat 6 to Redhat 7 by export/import, sapinst SWPM and upgrade also my data base Oracle 11 to Oracle 12. If I do this operation, export from RHL6 Oracle 11 to RHL7 Oracle 12 is it OS/DB migration ?

If yes how I can to that without to be os/db migration certificat ? (2 operations ?)

Is it the same thing with Windows SRV2008R2 MSSQL2012 to Windows SRV2012R2 MSSQL2014 ?

Schedule a transport / enter production instance manually

$

Hi all,

like in most cases our production environment consists of several application servers and a central instance. Now, when we want to schedule a transport into production the following happens.

Upon scheduling a job is created in the production environment, so far so good. However, when we leave it like this and don't take any additional action the actual import fails with a general error message: an internal error occurred.

To avoid this from happening, after scheduling the transport from Development, we have to logon to the production environment and manually change the job and enter the central instance (server name) as Exec. target.

Is there a way or some setting we have to make / change in order to not having to logon and manually change the server name?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Micky.

Undeploying SCA/ SDA / EAR / WAR files on J2EE servers on Netweaver release 7.1,7.2,7.3,7.4 and 7.5

$

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to list all the undeployment options available to undeploy .SDA (Software Deployment Archive), .SCA (Software Component Archive), .EAR (Enterprise Archive) or .WAR (Web Archive) files on SAP J2EE servers Netweaver release: 7.1/7.2/7.3, 7.4 and the upcoming 7.5 version. For a similar knowledge base article for the deployment of these components, check my SAP KBA document : http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1715441
(How to deploy/undeploy .SCA/ .SDA/ .EAR files on J2EE servers on Netweaver release 7.1, 7.2, 7.3,7.4 and 7.5).

In earlier SAP releases (version 6.40 and 7.00) the Software Deployment manager (SDM) tool could have been easily used for this. However, it has depreciated in the latter releases. For more information, check: Undeploying Components - Using Java - SAP Library

NOTE: Undeployment as such is not supported and should be used only in cases where the SAP Basis admin is well versed with the system landscape and the repercussions of this activity very well. If unknowingly a component is deployed, the best option would be to restore the system to the previous state it was before the deployment was triggered. Hence, you should always take a full offline backup before commencing deployment.

Option 1

The best option to use is the J2EE TELNET "UNDEPLOY" command.

1) Open telnet connection and run the below commands:

> lsc (to list the available server nodes)

> jump <server node> (usually jump 0)

> add deploy

> undeploy -h (to get the command syntax and all the available options. For more information, check http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechTSG/(JSTSG)(Telnet)DeployController+Commands

For example: >undeploy name=com.sap.pct.mdm.tech.wizards vendor=sap.com name= on_undeploy_error=stop

telnet undeploy.jpg

If you wish to undeploy multiple SDAs , use the "list" option to supply an XML file as argument. Here is the syntax to run that command from telnet:

undeploy list=D:\usr\sap\UndeployItems.xml

on_undeploy_error=skip_depending on_prerequisite_error=skip_depending

******************* ******************* ******************* **** ******

The XML file has to be EXACTLY in the below format (including the case and spaces)

<Components>

  <DevelopmentComponentLine vendor="sap.com" name="MyApp"/>

  <DevelopmentComponentLine vendor="sap.com" name="MyService"/>

</Components>

******************* ******************* ******************* **** ******

NOTE: This will not calculate the dependencies though. If the operation fails, the logs will give you an idea on the dependency involved and then you can make a call on whether you wish to undeploy them in that order as well. Once all the SDAs related to the SCA are removed, then the "undeploy_empty_sca" command can be used to delete the empty SCA from the server.
This is extremely useful in cases where the SCA in question has many SDAs, like the GP-CORE SCA that has more than 102 deployed components and undeploying one by one can be a cumbersome affair.

Option 2

The Netweaver Developer Studio undeploy view can also be used to this purpose. Firstly navigate to NWDS -> window -> preferences and maintain the j2ee server details:

preferences.jpg

Now open the undeploy view by clicking on Window -> show view -> other

view.jpg

and select the undeploy view:

undeploy view.jpg

Once this is done, you can select the DC components that are part of the SCAs that need to be undeployed. It is also possible to select the whole SCA file using this technique:

undeploy list.jpg

Also do check:  http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/44/70655c200812d2e10000000a422035/frameset.htm

Option 3

The guiconsole.bat in the location /usr/sap/<SID>/J<nr>/j2ee/console is a script that will inturn open the telnet application and you can commence undeployment as mentioned in option 1.

Option 4

ANT scripts can be used for undeployment of SDAs. For more information on this, check: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce711/helpdata/en/46/150746f21914dce10000000a155369/content.htm.

How can I know which orders got error, as I think this is data problem instead of program issue.

Thank you very much

Web dispatcher for same server but two URL

Dear All,

We are having two different logon screens(url) on same server java system(portal 7.4)

Say 1) – http://testhr:50000/xxx

2) – http://testhr:50000/yyy

No we are planning to place a web dispatcher in front of this portal system with an URL say

http://logonscreen.domain.com

In this case if a user logs on with http://logonscreen.domain.com and expected to get logon screen of http://testhr:50000/yyy will web dispatcher rout it correctly to the right path kindly advice.

Thanks and Regards,

Tables DB* in tablespace SYSTEM

Hi All,

because of the error message:

BR0966I Table DBCHECKORA not found or empty - using default settings for checks

I discovered that all DB- tables:

     DBCHECKORA

     DBMSGORA

     DBSTAIHORA

     DBSTATC

     DBSTATHORA

     DBSTATIORA

     DBSTATTORA

are in SYSTEM tablespace instead of PSAPSR3DB. The system is a j2ee with own ORACLE database (11.2.0.4). It was created by a "Dual Stack Split". After that it was migrated from HPUX to LINUX.

My Questions:

     1. Is it correct for a j2ee that the DB tables exists in SYSTEM tablespace?

     2. If they are in wrong tablespace, why are they in tablespace SYSTEM now?

     3. If they are in wrong tablespace, is it possible to move them in tablespace SYSTEM with table move?

Best regards

Willi Eimler

30.01.2015: SP Stack Kernel 721 PL#401 Replaces PL#400

Current SP stack kernel 721 PL#400 has been replaced with PL#401, see Note 2121693 - SAP Support Package Stack Kernel 7.21 (EXT) Patch Level 401.

It fixes a file permission issue that has a very limited impact:

  • It occurs with 721_EXT kernel on Windows platforms only
  • It has no effect at runtime, only for future system maintenance
  • Workaround is easy.

This means: even if above criteria apply, it is not always necessary to replace already installed 721 kernel PL#400. Refer to Note 2118382 for more information.

RFC with SNC ends with dump CALL_FUNCTION_SNC_NAME_NOT_FND

$

Hi All,

Iam trying to create a type 3 RFC between 2 systems based on NW 7.4 SPS12. Kernel patch is 300. Connection test without activation of SNC works perfectly. However, when I activate SNC, connection test ends with the message " An error occurred while making a remote function call". In the target system the Short dump with the title CALL_FUNCTION_SNC_NAME_NOT_FND occurs. The dump reads as follows:

Short Text

An error occurred while making a Remote Function Call.

What happened?

Sysid "XXX     " in target system in table SNCSYSACL is not allowed. SNC

    name="p:SAPServiceXXX@CORP.XXX.COM"

What can you do?

Note which actions and entries caused the error to occur.

    Consult your SAP administrator.

Using transaction ST22 for ABAP dump analysis, you can view, manage,

and retain termination messages for longer periods.

Error analysis

A Remote Function Call was made and the SNC connection (Secure Network

Communications) was used. In this case, a check is performed in the

target system to see whether an entry with the SNC name, SNC ID and the

RFC type of the original system exists in the table SNCSYSACL and if

this entry is activated for RFC.

    This was not the case.

The following information was used to search SNCSYSACL: Type.....

    (Field SNC-TYP)....>E<

    System ID.(Field SNC-SID)....>XXX     <

    SNC name..(Field SNC-PNAME)..>p:SAPServiceXXX@CORP.XXX.COM<

How to correct the error

You must make a corresponding entry (including SNC name and system ID

of the source system) in table SNCSYSACL of the target system and then

mark it for use with RFC.

Of course, the solution of adding an entry to the table SNCSYSACL also does not help. I have done this using tcode SNC0.

Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

Regards

Joyee
