when I print a delivery note in VL02N, it is also archived as PDF in our archive system (SAPERION).

My problem is, that a print from archive via attachment list is different (e.g. different borders) from that, which i printed at first.

Is there any chance to get the same output again?

I have made background process at 'FAGL_FC_VAL - Foreign Currency Valuation' for valuating AR, AP at May 31st.

The session was created but have not be processed.

So I tried to release and delete session, but it couldn't be released and deleted.

How can I make it released to be able to delete or be processed successfully?

We have a freshly installed NW 7.3 Java stack machine running with Oracle11g on RHEL 6. We are trying to do a add-on installation of ESS/MSS component. But while generating the stack from mopz we are not able to see ESS/MSS components in add-ons category

Is there any particular reason for this? Please let me know.

Dear Gurus,

Our current Landscape involves 3 system Dev->Quality ->Production, each with its own transport Directory (/usr/sap/trans), we need to optimize the storage for which we have planned to create a common NFS mount point in the Development system and mount this across the production and the quality systems.

Could you kindly explain if there would be any impact on the landscape and  also let me know the changes that would be required across the systems with respect to the existing Transport routes or the current STMS configuration

We are aiming to perform a new installation based on SAP NW 7.4 SR2 and IBM DB2 10.5 PureScale.

I have been going through the SAP installation guides and notes but one thing is still not clear to me.

In some older documentation it's stated that for example the solution is not supported in a virtual environment.

I am planning to perform the installation using servers on the Amazon cloud.

Is this still the case?

I Need a small suggestion,I developed one report. The report is fetching data from custom table. Custom table also. Before creating the Report,

I was created, But Unfortunately i was not moved the table. But report I moved it.

While importing in Quality I got the Error. Bcz I missed the Table. Please have a look on below attached image.

My questions is Without Seeing  or thinking i can imagine.Reason behind it. Because I am the owner to that Transport Request.

But my question is Report and Table created One developer and After some time. New developer has came and Releasing the Tr.

In this case How could i find the Missing Components of the Transport.  How could the person knows table has to be import, missing things from Development to Quality. Need your Valuable suggestions.

Transport request:

An SAP Transport is a package which is used to transfer data from one SAP installation to another. This change can be from a small change  to major change. It can be considered as an "update", with the only difference being that SAP transports are made by the SAP users themselves. Each TR contains one or more change jobs, also known as change Tasks . All the Tasks are stored inside a TR for eg: multiple files stored in some folder.

TR can be released only once, all the tasks inside a TR are completed, released or deleted. Change requests are named in a standard format as: <SID>K<Number>

• SID – System ID
• Number – can be anything from a range starting with 90001
• Once the Transport request is released, it creates a Data file and Co-file.

Cofile     : having the attributes of data file. Co-file is created “K”, Co Files contains the controlling data

Data file  : having the data file is created “R”, Data files contain the database details.

Types of transport change request:

1)  Workbench Request:Workbench requests are cross-client. Changes done in one client are automatically reflected in all other clients.

2)  Customizing Request:Customizing requests are client specific. The changes will not be reflected in other clients. For e. g   a change done in ECC Dev system will not be reflected in other clients in the same ECC Dev system. We have to do a client copy using T-code SCC1. You can see the client number next to this type of request.

Transport Domain Controller:There will be only one Transport Domain controller in the Landscape. It is used to maintain the information of all the systems in the Landscape. Initially The DEV system is configured as TP Domain, but later we can move it to other systems .Mostly it remains in the DEV system only. It is a post installation activity.

Domain Controller configuration:

• First decide which system you would like to define domain controller
• Go to SE06
• Click the post installation activity
• Go to STMS
• It will ask for the Domain controller name
• Enter system ID of the Domain controller
• Enter domain_<Sid> as Domain controller name and enter the description
• Click save button

Transport Route:

STMS--->Overview--->Transport route--->change button ---> click the DEV, QAS & PRO--->click the add transport route tab --->then we have to give the <Sid>, transport layer, system name.

Types of editors (For transport routes):

• Graphical editor
• Hierarchical editor

R3 Trans: R3trans is used to transport data between SAP Systems and for the migration between different SAP releases. However, note that R3trans is usually called from other programs, in particular from TP (Transport Control Program ) and R3 (upgrade control program).

Command :R3 trans –d    is used to check the R3 trans connecting to the DB or not.

Trans directory path is – usr\sap\trans

Types of Transport Request:

Transport request types are 3 and they are

1) K type – with change in integrated system to consolidated system

2) C type – without change in integrated system to consolidated system

3) T type – move the one system to another system

STMS configuration:

Login to the system with DDIC in client 000

Go to the T-Code STMS configured--->standard configured ---> single system, development system, three systems in group

(Or)

Go to the T-Code STMS --->overview --->systems ---> sap systems --->external system --->then we have to give the system name, <Sid>

Steps for Importing Transport Request:

• Check if we have an approval on mail to Transport.
• Check where we need to Transport (Quality or Production)
• Check if STMS is configured
• For eg. if we need to move to production go to Production System then T-code STMS in Production system and if quality then login to quality system
• Select the Queue from the list (Quality of Production accordingly)
• Refresh the list
• Check your Request number to be imported.
• Click on the request number and Adjust the queue using symbol 
• Once queue is adjusted click on the Request number and click on Half Loaded Truck

Never Click on the Full loaded Truck. (if we do so system will be down completely) .To disable the Truck go to topic no 1.11

• Once you click on the Truck you will get below options and fill the information accordingly.
  
  
• Select type of request Immediate ,at start time or after an Event

In the Execution Tab select Type of Import Synchronous or Asynchronous

Synchronous    : Dialog or batch process is blocked until import has ended in synchronous transport
Asynchronous  : Dialog or batch process is released after import is started in asynchronous transport

1. Leave Transport request in queue for later Import: This check box causes the requests to be imported again in correct order with the next import of all requests.

2. Import Transport requests again: This also imports the transport request if it has already been imported.

3. Overwrite originals: It imports objects if the objects are the originals in the target system. The object directory entry determines the SAP system where the original version of an object is located.

4. Overwrite objects in unconfirmed repairs: It also imports objects, if they were repaired in the target system and the repair is not yet confirmed.

5. Ignore Non-permitted transport type: It imports the transport request if this transport type was excluded by particular settings in the transport profile.
 

6. Ignore Non-permitted Table Class: It imports data records of a table even if the delivery class of the table does not permit the data records to be imported
 

7. Ignore predecessor relations: If you want to import all the requests for one or several projects, but additional requests from other projects exist for which there are dependencies .This option is switched off by default, which means the predecessor’s relationships will not be damaged.

8. Ignore Invalid Component Version:This option is used to avoid component mismatch issue

Return Codes

Transport Logs:

1) ALOG - It Specifies the Application Log

2) SLOG  - It specifies the Job steps

3) ULOG - Tp commands

Transport status:

D : Modifiable

L  : Modifiable Protected

O : Release started

R : Released

N : Released (with import protection for repaired objects)

Note: To change the status of a released TR to unreleased we have to run program “RDDIT076”

• Go to SE38
• Enter Program name as “RDDIT076”
• Click execute
• Enter the TR number
• Click execute
• Double click on the request
• Edit the Request type
• Change R (Released) to D (modifiable)

How to Deactivate Fully Loaded Truck:
Never click on the Fully loaded Truck during transport

We can deactivate the full Truck option by setting a parameterNo_Import_all = 1using below steps:

1. Log on to your TMS Domain Controller.

2. Tcode - STMS

3. Click on System Overview (3 boxes button)

4. Double click on the system you want to disable Import All button

5. Goto Transport Tool Tab in edit mode.

6. Click on ADD button & add  NO_IMPORT_ALL with value 1

7. Save & exit

8. Repeat above steps for all the systems in which you want to disable import all button

we want to upgrade our 7.01 BW to 7.40 and get the following error with SUM in Phase ADDON_QCALC (log attached)

We load all INSAPBSFND packages we could found but the issue is still there.

Hi Folks,

We have one BW JAVA system (7.31) in which we are not able to see the real time data for any of the application servers. But for message server and Enque server we are able to get the traffic light signals but for hte application server we are not able to get. I have checked the SAPOSCOL and HOSTAGENT services are running but still not able to get the data here. We are using hte kernel 721_EXT_REL 402 patch and the components levels are (731.8 patch)

Pls provide any advise to resolve this.

I am working on migrations in my organization. Now we have a requirement to migrate database of about 10 TB and we have downtime only of 60 hours. We planned to use the concept of distribution monitor and try running multiple R3loads for parallel export & import on three applications servers.

We are migrating SAP from HP-UX to Linux.  I haven't worked on distribution monitor so far. But have worked on MIGMON couple of times.

Now my query is:

1. As per the distribution monitor guide, i could see that we should use additional dialog application servers to connect to database and take the export/import. During parallel Import, do we need to install additional dialog servers that are pointing to target database before installation of Database? I mean installing Central instance & additional dialog instance prior to installing Database instance.

2. I guess we need to use shared disk which is available on all the source and target applications servers where R3load is running for both export & import. Is that correct?

3. Will we using only DISTMON.SAR or MIGMON.SAR for export/ import on multiple systems? If DISTMON.SAR , then we just need to uncar in a directory and run the distribution_monitor.sh. Correct?

4. We would need to execute table splitting option to split tables for larger tables from  DB02. Please let me know how to achieve this. I learnt that if a table is splitted on a data directory during export, we need to use the same directory for import as well. In that case, please let me know how to use this split option?

5. I think the procedure to use Distribution monitor is as follows :

• Unpack DISTMON.SAR file on all the systems where we are going to execute export and import.
• Maintain distribution_monitor_cmd.properties with the name of the servers where R3load is running and execute. / distribution_monitor.sh on all the servers where export/ Import is running.

Finally please explain the usage of orderbytext file using export as well as difference between DDL<DB_TYPE>.TPL & DDL_<DB_TYPE>_LRG.TPL

first of all I want to say Hello to all of you This is my first post.

I am also quite new to the NetWeaver Administration. So please be patient

I want to upgrade our Portal to 7.4 SPS13 and it worked on all test instances but of course there is a problem on our production one.

In phase 'Specify Credentials' the following happens:

Error while detecting GLOBAL directory using the SAPControl. Sapcontrol client could not perform action get parameter value on instance 1 Return code condition success evaluated to false for process sapcontrol for action get parameter value.

I already searched for a solution and it seems that a upgrade of the Kernel will solve it.

So I also searched for how to upgrade a Kernel but I couldn't find sth that helped me doing this.

So could you please tell me how to upgrade the Kernel of a SAP NetWeaver 7.4 AS Java System?

By default, only  3 parameters are checked. Should I check all the parameters?Or just click Next?

We use Windows for our servers.  We need to move one of our SAP systems from one domain to another domain.  We have our main company domain which I will call Domain A.  And we have a hosting domain which I will call Domain B.  Part of out BASIS team was asked to take a copy of a SAP system that exists in Domain B and build a new system from that copy.  They did this but created the system as local aka not in any domain.  All of our other SAP systems reside in Domain A and we have worked and struggled with things like optimizer maintenance plans and connectivity until we decided to stop trying to force a squre peg in a round hole.  We want to leave the new system where it is but change it to a new domain that our old SAP systems have no problem connecting to.

But we need a game plan.  We have a domain controller server up and ready called Domain C.  Now what do we do?
