I have worked lot on SAP BO but there's a new requirement for SAP BI consultant in my project which demands to learn Datawarehousing workbench and BW . I am new to it . Request to please clarify below questions.
1. What is SAP BI and SAP BW . Is there a difference between them ?
2. I installed the "SAP NetWeaver 7.02 ABAP Trial Version 32 bit " for learning purpose. Installation went fine. But i couldn't find " Modeling > Datawarehousing Workbench : Modeling under SAP Easy Access Menu.
I am using BCUSER/abcd1234 to lo onto the system.
3. When i use /nrsa1 , i get below screen , i couldn't understand below what it means. so i didn't went ahead
4. Have i installed the correct tool to learn about BW (creating Infoview etc)

I am planning to install NW 7.3 for BW on Linux / Sybase.
Can you please let me know what the base NW installation is required for BW? Is ASabap is sufficient or do I need to install Abap+java (for PI) and add BW add-on to it.

Hi there,
I have just recently started the EHP6 upgrade off via SUM on our sandpit system The SUM screen is
displaying
Progress: 'Waiting for completion of the dialog'
Status: WAITING
I have had the same screen displaying the same message since last Friday and doesn't appear to
getting any further on. The connection breaks after about 10 mins or so and every time I reconnect the
same screen is being displayed.
I can’t seem to find any logs that make sense of what progress has been made or if indeed there are
some problems that the EHP has come across.
Would you know where I can see the errors if any?

Hello,
on a ECC 6.0 system (windows/maxdb) in systemlog SM21 I get message "Transaction termination 00 148 ( )" every five minutes.
I can't locate a job, which is causing this error message.
In /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS00/work there aren't any notifications in dev_* files.
Systemlog SM21 tells as additional documentation fro message 00 148:
User not in validity date. Please inform administrator.
No documentation exists for message 00148
What can I do to get more informations to solve the problem? Does anybody know a solution?

Hi All,
We are working on a sales-force - SAP integration prototype. As part of this, we are opening up the SAP CRM (on SP7) web UI screen inside salesforce as a mashup. However, when we call the mashup screen, SAP is sending x-frame-option: SAMEORIGIN in its HTTP header response. But the framed page (SAPs) and the parent page (SFDCs) are not of same origin and this is making the browser to deny rendering the page.
We have another SAP instance which is on SP6 and we are able to successfully see its screen within SFDC. So I feel the SP7 upgrade has got to do with this x-frame settings.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I have installed on windows 7 and can login with SAPgui, but still a lot of things doesn't work.
but I can't. Do I need to activate something in SICF?

After that maintain your local IP Address under "Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections".
I think I know how/where to set an IP Address, but I would still like a complete description to be sure. Can I just set any IP i like?

I referenced tc/kmc/bc.uwl/api in my Project. I created an Webservice which should create a new UWL Task. But i only get an NullPointerException and i don't know why.

A SAP router has been configured at customer site. This is done thru VPN. The implementation partner is looking for administrative access on thier
desktop. Please clarify below points:
1. Does the administrative access required on desktop which is used for open the remote connect at market place OSS.
2. Under what circumstances this is required ?
I am basis consultant but I have never requested admin access.

The stage reaches the RSUPDTEC in the extraction process and then seems to
just hang.
In the log there is a recurring entry of:
2 ETQ399 'SUBST_CHECK_BATCHJOB' for JOBNAME='RSUPDTEC' JOBCOUNT='10192300' returns 'S'.
Any ideas anyone?
