CCMS MTE for Certificate expiry alert

I am looking to configure CCMS alert for certificate expire. Please help me to identify the MTE for certificate expiry for ABAP.

Option 1: SSFALRTEXP is intended for certificates that expire within the AutoABAP concept, that is, this report is automatically processed each day from about 3 o'clock; A prerequisite for this is that the AutoABAP mechanism has not been deactivated. This report only generates the aforementioned warnings. But warning should be shown in CCMS. So which MTE class isolates certificate expiry ?

Option 2 : SSF_ALERT_CERTEXPIRE is a report with an online and background list output that can be scheduled as a replacement for the SSFALRTEXP report (as a daily background job). If you are using this report as a replacement for the SSFALRTEXP report, the start time must be before 3 o'clock. If this is not possible. This report only generates the aforementioned warnings. But warning should be shown in CCMS. So which MTE class isolates certificate expiry ?

While consuming odata service from a service url , I am getting the following server error :

Server Error Caused by:</h3><pre>javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

at sun.security.ssl.Alerts.getSSLException(Unknown Source)

Can anyone provide solution for this?

Since Yesterday i have had problems starting the application server where by it hangs on sapcontrol as seen below

Hi there

I've a problem when installing SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SR2 ABAP Application Server on SAP HANA Database. The installation process runs fine until the instance is started (step 17/27) - the error indicates, that ABAP processes on <SID>/DVEBMGS00 did not start after 10:10 minutes...

Do you have any idea what could be the cause?

I am facing a peculiar problem with the web dispatcher, So we configured the dispatcher to work for http and https as well until recently we made some modifications to the parameter to make the http to https and vice versa to work for another series of links .Though we succeeded in the Quality system we couldn’t achieve the same in the Production system. We achieved the desired result by modifying the parameter icm/HTTP/redirect_0 And now there seems to be an issue regarding this. Whenever I try to maintain the same parameters as in Quality to Production System , the Url is not hitting the SAP Web Dispatcher , making it not possible for the application servers to display the content there by the site not being displayed. Kindly let me know what the issue is. PS: Am making an attachment of the SAP Web Dispatcher profile. Thanks & Regards, Kaushik G

Hello Guys.

I have installed SAP ECC 6 EHP6. It´s running smoothly in my local PC under a VMware Workstation (Windows server and Oracle DB).

I can access it via SAPGUI outside my VMware without any problem (in my local PC/network).

1-Could you please give me a step by step procedure or tutorial to allow access into my local SAP ECC 6 server via Internet?

2-Can SAP Router address this requirement? If so.. how?

Over the last few days, I´ve been searching a way to do it without success.

I would appreciate any help.

P.S.: My Internet Service Provider has Dynamic IP. Not fixed IP.

Dear All,

I have a question in mind for which i am trying to get an answer.It might sound very silly but heard it from a couple of people so very curious to know if there is some thing that i am missing in here-

SAP system start without any instance profile in OS level.When i say any profile i mean all profile not only start profile.I know that from NW 7.3 start profile is merged with instance profile,but can a SAP system be started without any kind of profile may it be start,instance or default given the fact that to start the sap system startsrv process will try to read the parameter from the start profile,so how is it possible to start sap system without any profile present at os level in /sapmnt/<SID>/profile/

Hello All,

Please direct me if there are any specific guidelines to migrate batch job log files from one server to another.

Two servers are different Operating systems, we have performed a OS/DB migration just wanted to check the possibility of batch job log files stored at OS level.

I have identified few batch jobs which are in both source and target servers physically copied the job log files in the respective directory, still in the target am not able to view those batch job log files.

Please throw some light here

Hello everybody,

we have upgraded the SAP System NW 701 ERP 604 Kernel 721 ext unicode

to Linux RHEL7 and installed the follwoing packages:

cyrus-sasl-gssapi-2.1.26-17.el7.x86_64

krb5-libs-1.12.2-14.el7.x86_64

pam_krb5-2.4.8-4.el7.x86_64

krb5-workstation-1.12.2-14.el7.x86_64

and customized SNC Parameter in SAP and active Directory.

In GSS Test we get this error:

RESULT NOT ok (rc=1)

This is the sequel of my first blog, presenting a new UI interface available for SAP Web Dispatcher.

1. Prerequisites

In order to use the PSE Management in Web Administration Interface of SAP Web Dispatcher, it necessary to use version 7.42 of the load balancer, as of patch level 22.

It is necessary that the user ID used for the administration has Admin rights (set the "admin" group while creating the user ID):

2. Initial view

By starting the Web Dispatcher Administration page, the left hand menu presents the PSE Management link:

If the PSEs are already created in the $SECUDIR directory, the following screen is displayed:

In the example above, note that there is one certificate in the PKList.

By clicking in the "Recreate PSE" button, the PSE will be recreated, thus you can use one algorithm from the SHA-2 family.

3. Recreating the PSE

The Distinguished Name needs to be informed, using in the Common Name the FQDN of the Web Dispatcher.

In the Algorithm dropdown box, it is possible select the SHA-2 algorithm:

It is also possible to select the key length (usually higher than 1024 bits, as CAs are no longer signing CSRs with 1024 bits) and a PIN.

Since this is a new PSE, it is necessary to create a CSR and submit to a CA, once it current PSE has a self-signed certificate (validity until 2038):

It is also necessary to import additional certificates, as the PKList is now empty.

After creating the CSR, it is possible to read its content (using a third party tool) and see:

Hi Friends,

Version - ECC 6,

OS - Linux

DB - Oracle

One of our Production System is running out of Extended Memory,

We have around 98 GB of RAM and SWAP Space of Around 149 GB.

Sum of all Memory Parameters in ST02 comes near to 92 GB.

Does increasing em/initial_size_MB by 20 GB more requires increasing the RAM size or RAM+SWAP is enough,

Does it affect System Performance if the Sum of Memory Parameters exceeds the RAM Size.

In my opinion it won't as SAP Says User contexts are stored in SWAP Space and SAP Treats RAM+SWAP as whole.

But in bit of confusion as didn't get clear information on that. Please share your knowledge and correct if interpreting it wrong.

How to restart a WP

Hello,

In PRD system there is 1 Work process hang for more than 48hrs

rdisp/max_wprun_time is set to 1800. So normally it should restarted after this 30min

So i want to restart this work process and get it free for the other users. How to do this?

(I have tried both these options - cancel with core and cancel without core)

But that workprocess is not ending.

in sm50,

Process -> Restart after error --> YES / NO

What this option means? (From here is it possible to restart the above stuck WP)

In OS level, we also have this dpmon tool;

If we kill the work process using this dpmon , will it automatically restarted the WP?

How long will it take to restart the work process?

Other than using dpmon, is it OK to kill the WP directly using O/S commands?

Ex: kill -9 <pid>

If we do like this , will it automatically restart the WP?

How to get to know that the Workprocess is restarted or not?

(Is there any entry / logfile)

After it restarts, will it change the PID or will it use the same PID?

Hi,

We're doing SAP DB Migration from MaxDB to MSSQL in my environment. We're in the phase of taking source system export, during the export its checking SAP release (getSAPReleaseFromDB) its throwing timeout error on getSAPReleaseFromDB.log. We're able to get xuser list and also able to login using these users control,superdba and sapsid. We searched a lot for a note to resolve this issue but didn't get any.

SWPM trying to execute this command "sqlcli -U DEFAULT -Q "SELECT "RELEASE","EXTRELEASE" FROM "SAPSID"."CVERS" WHERE COMPONENT='SAP_BASIS'" and output throws a timeout error.

Few logs has been provided below.

Did anyone faced this kind of issue means, please let us know the resolution.

* -10709: Connection failed (RTE:[3] connect timeout)
