Update SAPJVM is failing
Hi ,
I was trying to update SAPJVM of one of my Portal System (SAP NW 7.40) using SUM but getting below error:
SAPJVM7_2-10010941.SAR is rejected because following reason:
Component sap.com/SAPJVM WINDOWS_X86_64 can not be updated to higher release
Please suggest.

SAP Web Dispatcher - Accesing backend system with a generic URL
Hi,
I'm currently working in the following request and I would like to request for your help in order to put all pieces together.
External customers should access our CRM system from the internet. To accomplish that, a SAP Web Dispatcher (SWD) is going to be in place within the DMZ. Here comes the first requirement. Customer should access CRM application (through SWD offcourse) by usign a URL like this:
No "CRM host/port" nor "SWD host/port" should be included in the call.
How this host/url shoud be mapped to the "SWD" in order to pass requests coming from https://crm.xxx.xxx.xx to CRM application server specific functions?
What I'm trying to accomplish was basically described in the SAP Help as follows:

"If you should be able to call the Web application externally, for example using the URL www.shop.acme.com, this host name must be mapped internally to the SAP Web dispatcher. This then forwards the HTTP(S) request to a suitable application servers."

Error while processing Workitem
Hi All,
For an invoice while processing the workitem is sent to the agent. Agent tried to process the workitem but workflow went into error.
After workitem Processing complete step the following error is shown.
ERROR:

Modules in ECC?
Hello Experts,
How many modules will I get inbuilt in ECC 6.0 system?
Means like SD, MM, PS.
Because I wanted to install the below modules:
Finance and Controlling including Profitability Analysis (FICO)
Sales and Distribution (SD)
Materials Management (MM)
Production Planning (PP)
Project Systems (PS)
BASIS and ABAP
So ill get all those modules inbuilt in ECC system?
Also how many and which modules are available in ECC ?

Java Application Spinning Issue
Hello,
I've been having a performance issue with an application on an NW7.01 Java system. Originally it was developed on NW4 and we've deployed it to a 7.01 system using NWDI and it works as expected, unfortunately our performance issues came along with the migration. It's a custom webdynpro java application that we utilize on Intermec CN3 and CN70 mobile devices in our warehouse wirelessly. The application uses JCO's to transfer the input to our ECC system and perform transactions. The issue we're encountering is that while utilizing the transactions or even traversing through the menu, the devices encounter spinning problems, like a loading screen but more often than the spinning never goes away, and the only way past it is to reset the devices. I'm tackling this problem from the basis side, looking for parameters and logs that may indicate where the problem is originating, if it's occurring within the Java system or within our ECC system and where within those systems is the problem. I'm not seeing any function modules taking extraordinary amounts of time in the RFC queues, and I'm seeing some errors in the server default trace, but they don't quite match up with the timeline of device spinning.
Any parameter changes or suggestions for specific logs to look at are appreciated!

Java Servlet - HttpIllegalStateException: Error reading from request body
Hello Experts,
Sometimes I get the error "com.sap.engine.services.httpserver.exceptions.HttpIllegalStateException: Error reading from request body. Cannot read the next body parts. Possible reason is interrupted connection with http client.".
How can I debug and find the cause of such an error?
J2EE version is 7.01 SP16.

How to trace a specific BAPI ?
Hello gurus
I am a basis consultant . how can we activate the trace for some particular BAPI's. there is a requirement of the client collect traces of some particular BAPI's in ECC and CRM systems for half an hour. As an output they need all the traces (raw data) per BAPI. can anyone help me if such a trace can be collected using ST05 or ST12 tcode and so as to how to activate the trace ?

Performance wise which mechanism is better? (IDOC, BDOC, BAPI, RFC, Proxy or SOAP)
I've been engaged in one of the major assignment with regards to the integration of SAP ECC ISU system with thrid party web services. I have an option to use the SAP PI -Middle Ware for the integration purposes for both the systems.
Performance is the critical point, want to ask which option would the performance boost with regards to the integration of systems, as there are multiple options available IDOC, BDOC, BAPI through RFC, Proxy or SOAP?
Please share with the rational behind each integration option with regards to the performance.

How to Trace a BAPI ?
Hello Experts from SAP,
My developer is is unclear why his BAPI sometimes does not seem to work.
This BAPI is called via RFC from external application.
When called in R/3, I managed to trace the RFC call but its very difficult to understand the trace file.
And I cannot find the BAPI name in the file. The aim is to know what is wrong with the BAPI or at which stage is the BAPI not processing properly or in a time-out situation such that the program never ends.
Does anyone here know how to trace such a BAPI?
Would really appreciate if you could kindly provide a hint.

SM50 Workprocess not updated after restart
Hello Folks,
SM50 dia and btc wp are not updated after parameter change. I have changed the parameter taken restart of the servers.
However it is not updated in SM50 also the wp parameters got updated in rz11, total wp number also got updated.
Urgent please help. My system is on EHP7 NW 740 SP08, Kernel release 742 101.
Also I noticed in SM50 work process number range changed say I increased dia wp to 20. I can see dia wp 1-10 in SM50 , and the next sequence starts with 21 for the btc wp (10 - 20 dia wp should be there but for some reason it is not utilized).

Background job spool not generated
Hi,
A user exit will trigger event driven background job. The background job will contain a custom program which will call standard VI01 transaction (shipping cost document).
This job is taking long time and getting finished without generating the spool. Spool will have shipment number.
If we run the program manually in SE38, the document is created successfully.
Please let me know how to resolve this.

SSL SHA2 Certificate
Hi Guys,
We installed the SHA256 certificate , being installed in the Quality Dispatcher I want to check weather it's working or not .and when I check the certificate in the Internet Explorer (shown in the below screen shot) , am just puzzled seeing SHA1
Am puzzled why we are getting the Key Usage with such a symbol and why is it showing SHA1
Is it that the installation has a problem?

SAP Application help installation
Hi Everyone,
Please help me out with the following question.
We have installed SAP Application help in our ECC EHP7 system in an Linux server.
We have mounted a filesystem in Linux server and installed Help in that file system.
We used the help installation files related to ECC EHP7.
Later we configured SR13 variant to access the help documentation.
SR13 config:
Variant: SAPHTMLHELP
Platform: WN32
Area: IWBHELP
Server: <hostname of linux server>
Path: SAPHelp/PLAINHTM (path of file system created)
Language: EN
But later when we try to access Application help from menu Help -> Application Help, it is starting bowser but giving error "Page cannot be displayed".
Not sure what gone wrong.
Installation completed successfully using SWPM.
We have used Plainhtmlhttp type.
We are not sure where it has gone wrong.
Any inputs on this will be highly appreciated.

start of sap instance without any profile
Dear All,
I have a question in mind for which i am trying to get an answer.It might sound very silly but heard it from a couple of people so very curious to know if there is some thing that i am missing in here-
SAP system start without any instance profile in OS level.When i say any profile i mean all profile not only start profile.I know that from NW 7.3 start profile is merged with instance profile,but can a SAP system be started without any kind of profile may it be start,instance or default given the fact that to start the sap system startsrv process will try to read the parameter from the start profile,so how is it possible to start sap system without any profile present at os level in /sapmnt/<SID>/profile/

SNC enabled RFC not working. please help
I have set up a READ RFC from Solman(on NON DMZ) to managed system(on DMZ zone) named SM_<SID>CLNT<client>_READ with SNC enabled.

I have snc/accept_insecure_gui. parameter value is '1' and found corresponding system entry in SNC0 of Source and Target System. Also corresponding entries are there in SNCSYSACL table with Type 'E' (external).
please help hereby as I need to correctly perform the connection test with SNC enabled.
